Age Old Organics! Is this for real, awesome.

In my ever more complicated quests to formulate organic fertilisers I have stumbled into an oldie but a goodie. I have heard of this before, but me being me I have to learn in some fucked up fashions for myself before I try anything.

Age old organics. The NPK rocks. It is not the rather pointless and ugly looking ratios of bio bizz, which I own, or the likewise quantities of pbp or anything else. The only thing close is fish emulsion and alaska more bloom in terms of ease. Or guanos and meta K or bio bizz grow which is loaded with K. I mean loaded! Lol. I am not knocking these ferts, it is just that in doing a massive amount of reading I am stunned by how good age old got what I am looking for in a 2 part system. One for grow and one for bloom.

I had planned on using various guanos and a k source. Perhaps peace of mind lawn care and their bone meal formulation. I literally tallied the organic mixes at worms way and came up with some combos.


Then today I gave a look at age old organics. wow wow wow, lol.


Just what I want. Well sorta. Because of the mysteries of guanos special charms that scientists still cant figure out entirely I want to add a little of that always.

I am dreaming of an age old tea with worm castings, kelp, and spt. A little egg shells and epsom here and there, or cal mag plus which haunts me as too cool, lol, and I am thinking done. Add some molasses and the girls go green after every feeding in my dream.


Only one problem, I am sure I am missing something as to why age old is so little talked about here. I think FDD andmaybe a few others quitly tout its merits.

What am I missing? I am going for as organic as I can. Is age old short of that mark?

any thoughts. If not I am happy to share.

1 tablespoon per gallon, every other watering. i'm throwing some super thrive in there with it as well. that is all.

age old isn't a certified organic product. "if it's too good too be true, then it probably is". just cause organics is in the name doesn't mean it is "really" organic.

i want some but i cant get it in australia .

and i never seem to have the coin on ma prepaid credit card when it occurs to me. that plus i dont like ordering things over the net that much. i heard they got dodgy caps from theyre sdite and what if it leaks when its comming over.. and the guy from the hydro shop says he cant order it.

age old has its own company website, just like every body but me apparently on the net. lol.

anyway, they have quite a nice line fo products. They are labled organic and to do that it means they go at least most ofthe way. I dont kno whwy they are not omri. I am not totally sure ho whtat works, I am learning. Anyway here is a list for their bloom

Content: fish solubles, feather meal & colloidal phosphates. Micronutrients are derived from seaweed extracts, borax and complex sugars.

looks good. IDK about Borax at all or what it is yet. About to read I will report back.

natures nectar would be the most fun, but they are expensive. they sell bottles of just N P and K. hehe, cool.

but for the price of organic these guys hit the NPK pretty close to the money. Better than Bio Bizz and others I think from looking at the levles according to hi times levles of NPK that are ideal.

it appear borax is a buffer for ph, usually about 8 and also it corrects boron deficient soils.

fish is very acidic. so maybe that is what it is for. I think borax might be why they are not omri, however I an not sure. It is all natural chemical, lol, but wikipedia has a lot fo crap to say that sounds all kinds of good and bad. Basically, who knows. . .

FDD you never disappoint. You must live in Mendocino County to be able to do out door grows in your back yard like that.

im useing it i like it for hydro but i have mixed thoughts about using it in soil i read in the post a tablespoon per gal i think that ill try that.

i decided to go with blue mountain organics, a company of ozark hippies.

I am a tea fan. these guys have everything I would put in a tea and use guanos along with other things to get their npk values.

check them out. I always find them buy ebay searching for Super Plant tonic, other wise they are elusive.

I will also topdress with indo guano looking at their NPK if I am feeling adventurous. But I do not need it. With their foliar harmony added instead as a bloom additive the npk is 3-12-9. That sounds nice and dont forget the castigns and bacterias and other amendments a high quality tea would have.


I guess you can tell I am stoked. Age old looks cool but I am sold on guanos. Not that I am that experienced but from everything I have read guano has it all.

Hey fdd is this outdoors or indoors. I'm using 1 teaspoon per gallon indoors but wold use a tablespoon indoors if i knew it wouldn't burn. I'm talking about Age Old Bloom. Can you advise?
