it actually smelled like roast beef to me...you know the crap you get at the grocery store pre-cut...and it also fucked the color up too!!! since ive learned to let them dry out almost completely before I jar them..I also do a full wet-trim/manicure. never have had a grassy smell since.spicy is one way to put it, lol. my last harvest i dried for like 3 days n then went straight to jars pretty much. I ended up with bud that smelled like damp basement, lol. It was still some of the best bud ive ever smoked, but it smelled like a basement thats been flooded, and then drained out. I think MUSTY would probably be a better word to use. BUT, then again i also probably chopped about a week or two too soon, so that could have contributed to the non dank smelling-ness.
Dry your buds on the branches for 5-7 days, until the stems snap but dont break. then into paper bags for 1 full - 2 full days, opening the bag up once or twice for a few minutes each day to sweat out any excess moisture. After that, into jars. Burp them bitches like was said ^^, 3-4 times a day. you dont need to leave them open for 20 minutes, just take the nugs out of the jar, rearrange them, and put them back in n seal it up.
yup...if its super wet, you can take them back out of the jars and put them in paper bags. then re-jarso it started getting crunchy so i put it in jars. and over night it got wetter then it was when it was growing haha im gunna open the lid for a few hours will that help
