um...any comments?
thnkz man..as for the tranplanting..im waiting to set my 400 hps, then ima tranplant and flower in 1 gallon grow bags filled with coco coir/perlite...i would love to tranplant right now,but i dont have that much coco coir....and its aslo more efficient using the beer cups to veg...I would hold back on the watering, maybe every other day with a light nute mix every other watering. I it looks as if some of your plants are suffering from nute burn, give just water for a week and im sure things will green up, also you might want to transplant into bigger containers. More roots equals more growth.
Hope everything goes well. " Keep me posted outside"- UM

my whole concern is if my tap water ppm is like 300-500...since the ph is around 8.5,and i live in a major, coastal city..then my guess is the ppm is very high...can this cause any lockouts,or other problems?or is it simply SAFE to use in coco coir? like if my ppm is 500,and i add around 600 ppm of nutes....then adjust the ph...can this mix hurt the plants or burn them in any way?I use tap water, i fill up a few 5 gal. buckets and let them sit at least 24 hours before using any of the water.

yea, some plants are really doing wost than others..my top 3 plants are growing nice, dark green leaves, with not too many spots,etc..then theres my other plants that are in HORRIBLE conditions...they are yellowing on ya there and i dont really know much but it seems like a hell of amount of perlite

my first guess is a deficincy, since the leaves are "curling" up,which usually means cal=mag def....
i really dont knwo what to do....i folair fed maxicrop seaweed today, which has alot of trace nutrients and hormones.....
thankz man..and yes i think its the fluctuating ph thats causing all these deficincies,etc...i use the gh ph test kit, which is just using some test drops, and macthing the color to the ph...obviosly this is EXTREMELY innacurate..and my ph must be 5.0 one day and 6.5 the other...im getting a ph pen from ebay..this oneI didnt read the whole thread so correct me if im wrong.
You where talking about your PH earlier, your PH is the most important part of the grow. If you cant control it you basicly causing all the problems the plants are having.
So all the problems you have might stem from the fact your tapwater is bad for growing. You are feeding it all this good stuff and it cant up take any of it cos of the screwed up PH. I would try to change your water source for a bit and see what that does and definitly replace that bad pen or calibrate it..
Good luck with your grow.
I guess that pen will work, as for decreasing your probs still using the same water. Possible, all depends what else is in that water. I know that high concentrations of chloride can cause lockout aswell, looks like an MG def. just to name one.thankz man..and yes i think its the fluctuating ph thats causing all these deficincies,etc...i use the gh ph test kit, which is just using some test drops, and macthing the color to the ph...obviosly this is EXTREMELY innacurate..and my ph must be 5.0 one day and 6.5 the other...im getting a ph pen from ebay..this one

will this ph pen be good enough?also, lets say i start measuring and adjusting the ph properly at 5.8...and still use tap water..will the chances of a deficincy DECREASE?
yeah, ive been doing alot of reading on how using "hard" tap water with a higher ppm than 200 WILL cause a magnesium def..mainly cus of the calcium locking out the mag....overall,i bet my tap water is whats fuckin up my grow, that along with not managing my ph properly...just guessin...im buying that ph pen soon, and using distilled water...this is my last time using coco coir,in the future ima go with either soil, perlite,or dwc...I guess that pen will work, as for decreasing your probs still using the same water. I'm not an expert on tapwater. Maybe someone else is. Ive heard about letting your water sit 24h should help, but i dont know.
when i walk into my room you can def smell the "dank" lol..and theyr still small and vegging!!the one i topped is already growing the 2 new shoots...im thinking about topping all of them!!
one question:since im using tap water..and its more than likely very high starting ppm..the poh is 8.5 out the tap!obvoisly my tap water is bad for growing..but is it still safe to use it if the ppm is around 400-600 out the tap?

Yeah, why have you changed accounts?um...any comments?
And how has your water made an improvement from a few days ago...have you tested ppm?my whole concern is if my tap water ppm is like 300-500...since the ph is around 8.5,and i live in a major, coastal city..then my guess is the ppm is very high...can this cause any lockouts,or other problems?or is it simply SAFE to use in coco coir? like if my ppm is 500,and i add around 600 ppm of nutes....then adjust the ph...can this mix hurt the plants or burn them in any way?
i need some reassurance that tap water, even very hard tap water,is "safe" to use..and wont cause problems with nute deficincies,etc...
i know its obvoisly not the best water to use,but as long as it doesnt cause any lockout,or shit like that, ill use it...
My experience, especially with the tester drops is you need to let all the ions in your nutes mix in order to get a stable pH reading. I bubble mine with an aquarium air pump and stone, but periodic shaking works good also. For some reason the pH pens seem to get a stable reading faster, but depending on what I add it can take an hour or so (check an hour later and it has changed). This happens to me especially when I use BMO's SPT which has live mychrozia and is very active in the bottle. The bacteria eat sugar and excrete what I find to be an alcohol but others have said is methane, either way in solution is acidic. So when I add this tonic which has humic acid anyways and lowers pH, with molasses or sweet, overtime the pH drops. Several other products may be active enough to change in your resevoir over time as well as some minerals precipitating out of solution in the presence of high aeration.thankz man..and yes i think its the fluctuating ph thats causing all these deficincies,etc...i use the gh ph test kit, which is just using some test drops, and macthing the color to the ph...obviosly this is EXTREMELY innacurate..and my ph must be 5.0 one day and 6.5 the other...im getting a ph pen from ebay..this one

Coco is not your problem. But I would say soil first is a good idea. If you want to switch, just use soil when you transplant. Your plants will love it. If you use a hot mix like foxfarm ocean forest (cut with extra perlite) do n ot feed for 3-4 weeks depending on your plants response. Just water with 6.0-6.5 RO water with Cal-mag or another adjustment for Mg (go lite) Also to be safe NEVER, NEVER, NEVER use the recomended amounts of nutes or supplements, 1/2 strength is probably good and you can ease up if needed. Your tds pen will verify this.yeah, ive been doing alot of reading on how using "hard" tap water with a higher ppm than 200 WILL cause a magnesium def..mainly cus of the calcium locking out the mag....overall,i bet my tap water is whats fuckin up my grow, that along with not managing my ph properly...just guessin...im buying that ph pen soon, and using distilled water...this is my last time using coco coir,in the future ima go with either soil, perlite,or dwc...
what do you use for ph testing?
also, anyone else wanna share some comments????
In answer to this I will re-post my comment from your other thread (which I meant to have posted here as I have mentioned the age issue before, but I was trainwrecked) Changing identity and having multiple accounts is not a good sign that I am wrong.Yeah, why have you changed accounts?
