ill help with some of your questions as best as i can
24/0 lighting untill flower and then to 12/12 is ok, most people just go with 18/6 then 24/0 or 24/0 then 18/6 then 12/12

how high you grow it is up to you my friend, you can grow it from seed and top it or do lst and have it shorter and bushier or let it grow straight up and have it 8 ft high if you want (provided you have adequate lighting)

you can go 12/12 whenever you want, some people grow 12/12 from seed...you want to veg for 3 to 5 months??...im not an expert here but that seems extremely long to veg a plant

Can you run your cfl 24/7 from seedling until flower at which 12/12?
That's what I'm doin with one of my plants and it seems to work very well?

Also I will only be able to grow 1 of my plants 4 feet tall. It's a northern light plant and it can get tall 5 feet or bigger I think?

Do I have to wait for mature or can I cut the lights back to 12/12 at the earliest 3 months and still expect some buds?

I am hoping this way to keep the plant from growing to tall for my closet.

Or do you think I should wait it out for 4 or 5 months veg? Do you think there's a chance it won't outgrow my 4 feet resraint?

IMO most of em look quite healthy, nature is nature and can be ugly and deformed at times
it only looks like you have 1 or 2 affected, if thats the case its probly just a weak seed

Hello Answer-Man! I have a question. I'm about to set up my growlab/cab within a closet and I'm still confused about some things. If growing in a perpetual harvest/side-by-side cab, do you need seperate exaust control systems? Or can both chambers be exausted with one? I'm not sure if this makes sense. For example, if one chamber's temp is not right, wouldn't that chamber require a specific venting schedule? Seperate from the other chamber's venting schedule? They both cannot exaust at the same time, if they both require specific temperature ranges, right? I imagine this to be the case, since temps and humidity levels must remain consistant at different levels for both the veg chamber and the flowering chamber. Correct me if I'm wrong. Also, when chosing intake/exaust fans, as well as carbon scrubbers, should I take my measurements from the entire closet which my grow chambers will sit in? Or just the grow chambers themselves? I know air flow is key and I want to be able to exaust any excess stink that may linger outside of the actuall grow chambers into the remainder of the closet space, thru the carbon scrubber, out of the closet space all together. Thanks for your kind help. I've been researching things for about 4 months now. Once I get just a little further, I will show you my designs soon to get your take on them.

hey just had a few questions and maybe a confidence booster! my first question is after my seeds have cracked i put them in rockool in a humidome and turned a CFL on 24/0. is this right?or do i not need the light till the actually sprout? my second question is on CFL lighting. i know i am opening a can of worms on this one but its really my only option. i am growing 2 plants in a DWC. i have a total of 8 lights for vegging 6 of them are 6500k daylight 23W and the other too are 23W 2700K. when flowering i will switch to 6 2700k and 2 6500k. I am going to be using GH nutes after about 2 weeks from when they sprout. is this a good amount of time to let them get going b4 i start puttting them on thier steroids?lol any input will be put to good use! thanks

i wanted to know how long do u let your plants go into the floweing cycle i been floweing sence feb 15 and i got some buds useing t12 7775 lums 12/12 and also how much do u want to trim off your plants can u take all leafs off that dont have buds to them without hurting your plants

I would say 18/6 is all you need for a plants photo period.but what your doing is fine....you will get buds eve if you have no veg time so 3 months is good...I keep your plant under or about 4ft...I guest you flower about a foot...especially using CFLS

Mylar seems to work better then white walls since dont reflect as much

you can tell the sex of your plant when it starts to preflower or when you switch the photoperiod

you can go 12/12 immediatley no biggie

where can i get some Co2? and if i have a 3ftx1ftx1ft box...how much would i need?

is mylar better than just painting the walls white?

when can i tell the sex of my plants?

I have a question when you can get to it, lol. I've heard of people using Bone Meal and Blood Meal to feed their plants. My question is can I use Miracle Grow Brand bone and blood meal with my soil grow? They sell like 3 ounce bags of both at store near me. If so, which for Veg and which for Flower?

-Mylar does reflect a little more light than just flat white paint (assuming its put up correctly). Flat white is still second best after Mylar though

- Switch straight from 24/0 to 12/12, no need to ease your babies into it.

my plant is drooping all over, its been fine the first 22 days but i think there is a problem. im growing in an areogarden pro, this has happened a few days back but my plant grew back its strength and stiffned up. i fill the water res. back up every week and use the AG nutes every 2 weks. here are some pics.

over watering how are the oxygen bubbles in there? what colors do the roots look like?

i was wondering im in week 7 of flower and i got a 150 watt hps to go with my 1200 watts of cfl and i was wondering if i had to hang the light up o can i just sit it on the two pieces of wood that are above my plant in my closet. when setting on the pieces of wood its only the edges of the wood the light shines in between the wood and its like 5 inches abovethe main cola is this ok.? bye the way its a sativa and its goot probably like 3-4 weeks left. just started seeing trichs with magnifyer

as long as you want them to..get you a magnifying glass and get up close on those trichs

clear means they are not ready
cloudy is a sativa like effect
cloudy/amber is a couchlock/sativa mix
amber couch lock narcotic effect

depends on you but indica usally 7-9 weeks
and sativas can go up to15 weeks

ok masterofgenetics, ive got a couple of questions, please help as you can. ok here goes, ive got a flowering room, 3'x3'x3', and I was thinking of getting a 400W HPS ballast, ive got everything pretty much figured out about the bloombox, but ive got some question about cloning. do you think i should build my own clonebox out of an old cabinet, or mabye 2 rubbermaid containers stacked on top of one another. I didnt want to get a metal halide for clones as there is no veg time really, i would get em rooted, and flower them since my bloombox is only 3 ft. high. so my question is, do you think a 400w HPS is sufficent for a 3x3' space, that is 3' tall, or should i get more or less light? As for the clonebox, should i outfit it with 2 125W cfl's? or 2 200W's or mabye just get a 250W MH or 150 W...im not sure what i wanna do, as i have to do SOG, sincei dont know to much about ScrOG. What would you suggest for me as i build the clonebox, so that i can have a continous harvest every 2-3 weeks after it all gets goin....I have a 10"x20" 10 gal aquarium, could i place the lights on the top of that? with cfls? or should i just invest in a MH? like i said i want to utilize my space that i have, sincei have to stay stealthy in my closet grow, the bloombox is the bottom half of my closet, and its 3' high, so i will be tying down the plants to bushify them and mabye do a ScrOG...let me know! thanks for all your help in advance, i just want to know what you would do in my situation...

I use my own combo...
A little of everything...
Mostly 16 ml botincare problend flower and 8 ml of Foxfarm's Tigerbloom. Per gallon

And I will switch it up and use just Purple Maxx 5 ml per gallon

Or I will use a mixture of 5ml pro-teck, 5 magi-cal, 5ml Foxframs bigbloom..

I try to mix it up through out the week..
First of the week Just water
second watering Bcpb and ff tb

third (snow storm)purple maxx

Fourth all subs

I don't know if this all that great some plant respond very well and other are just getting use to it?

I'd keep it in a dome until you got some roots.. then transplant..

Can you transplant rockwool cubes into soil? When you start seeds in rockwool, do you just wet the cubes, plant the seed in the whole, and wait for a sprout?

Alright You need a list huh...

I'd say buy a 30 gallon rubbermaid tub...

And about 8 or less net pots.., less is better for large plants... google it..

And a sub pump to move the water a small one would good for a system like this.. maybe 60 gph, maybe less..

Some 1/2 inch tubing and 1/4 inch tubing
A 1/4 in hole punch

some 1/2 gallon gph drippers..

and a 24 hour multi timer


and 4 way air pump some air stones and you ready to grow

I will be attempting to pollinate a plant for the first time. I am in the beggining of the third week of flowering, and have just now been able to start collecting pollen from the male plant.

I have twisty tied little containers under the maleflowers so the pollen falls into the containers.

my question to you is.....

is this an affective method of pollen collecting or would you recceomend something else.
Also what would be the best method for pollinating the female with a miniml number of seeds. (i would hope for around 50 ideally) as to not sacrafice too much yield and potency

I've never heard anyone putting cups under them..
But I take it Your smart enough to have your male growing in a different room then your girls, right?
Because males release pollen (lol, premature ejaclation)a week or two before the females..

And I would just collect it how every you can..
Use a small paint brush to apply it and dab it on..
I have heard people using bottom buds only to contain from having seeds every where..

But I was planning on using a selected male this run and cross all my plants with it then I was going to work from there but I had no males...
