its not really a good idea to transplant this late into the game, first the stress will set you back, and the roots are only going to grow for another week,

If it is really rootbound then you have no choice but to transplant and know to use bigger pots next time.

Some people transplant 3 times during a grow and last one is right before flower so you are doing it a little late.

Next time you should either start in a 5 gallon bucket or transplant up to one. One thing you should know how to water if you are using a 5 gallon bucket or you will ruin your plant because of no drainage holes, if you aren't sure then you better put some drainage holes in the bucket with something underneath to catch the excess water.

root bound means that the plant is not going to get thay tall, pending on pot size. its not going to die. it does mean extra work cuz you have to water a lot more threwout the day.

Don't know if it's been mentioned yet but make sure before you transplant that you water it really good and let it sit for a few minutes. That way the soil and the roots stick together pretty good. Then sqeeze the pot around the edges a bunch to get the soil broke free from the pot, then turn it upside down and hold the plant by the stem if it's sturdy enough and try to pull the pot off.

That's the best way I know to do it.
