Great journel,
yoyogrow! I really like the vids too!!<---how cool! You've got me itching to get outside this year......it's been a few(I brought mites to my inside in '06).
I didn't notice if you found your answer for getting your water up out of that creek or not. The one idea of using an electric with a car battery.......right idea, but they have them that run on smaller batteries and they run quite long actually. BUT, imo, and what I 've always done is use a double-action hand pump. We'd keep a 55 gal(food grade blue)drum up on the hill and pump it full(only takes about 5 minutes). Then we'd run lines from a manifold set-up at the drum to the plots. That was in a pretty remote area where we didn't have to camo everything too great, so we were able to leave our water lines on top just running wherever. This could be done as portable and temporary as wanted. The guy that I learned this from when I was a kid used a metal 55 gal drum with a removable lid and put his pump and lines, etc., inside when he was done. I just dont know how he got away with the metal drum year after year......
I think it was brndrt that used a pond liner in a hole?? I like that idea too, though have never tried it. I like the idea because it would be easier than burying a drum and easier to get to your spot.
The idea of having to carry water in buckets...... I know I am getting old now...... and that thing you call a saw??? haha<-----jk, used to do the same with a bow saw!! I think now that I would look into a cordless chainsaw or use my dewalt sawsall and make a pass through where I was going to grow a couple of months ahead of planting as you've done.
You have a few great sounding strains to play with!! What is your plan for nutes, etc..... and I am sorry if you already said that too(I did skip a few pages). I 've always had great luck with the NL's and crosses with it at my latitude, which I think is similar to yours except I am opposite side of the country and a few degrees south. I think the best strain I ever grew outside was Northernberry by Peak, but we had crossed it again(cant even think of with what??----in my notes somewhere).
I have the same Thai S-Skunk(G13) and 1 fem ww as you from the attitude that were freebies(+1 fem PPP) with my AK47 order. I am going to run the Thai ss for outside. I will get them started so I can get clones too... are you just running the seeds you have, or taking clones?<---I 'll go back and read what I missed.....
Hey, great journel you have
!! You sure got my mind going right now!!<+ this MoonFlower I am smoking on.....haha!
