the worst thing a nubi can do to his or her plants is over love them. I found the best thing to do with my satori was just water but i did burn the shit out of it in the first few feedings b4 i realised. I spotted some good satori info on one of the other forums but i canny for the life of me remember which one, icm maybe or uk420, they had a whole section on satori plants lol.
faahhhk haha ok we'll I'll keep my eye open and look around, I'll check their website again as well.

FAHK my Satori are all showing signs of Nitrogen deficiency, but their website says they don't need much feeding.

I think if they don't improve over the next few days, I'll hit em with a little under half the dosage of Grow Big, for each gallon of water. :fire:

Or maybe even 1/4. :bigjoint:Just to be safe.

Expect a transplant/first nute update on Tuesday.

I can't wait!
Looks good. Is the yellowing just on that plant?
No it's currently on 1,2,3,4 plants. Mostly the satori, other ones have a little bit of discoloring.

I think I'm going to start using water that's been sitting overnight until I get a pH scale.

I plan on applying nutes in the next day or two.

Does the whole gallon of water + nutrient measurement get fed to each plant?
Or can I just mix said gallon + nutes and just water to them all?

maybe they need potting on and the plants have used up all the nutes in the soil, If uve just potted on , its hard to reverse the yellowing, as long as its the lowest leafs u should be fine.

I'd just mix said gallon chowda and water according to what the plant needs. Those plants probably don't need more than a quart at most every few days, from the pics. I'd maybe also think about using the nutes at 1/2-3/4 strength at first.

...I have family in Maine and love New England kind bud! Grow on man! :bigjoint:

Ok that might be true..

It has been under a really hot light for almost 2 weeks, plus the other ones are in small containers.

I'll repot the plants to 5 gallon buckets around Tuesday.

haha nice thanks man :)

yea i totally think I've been over watering. I'm going to give them a break, the soil gets dry but to be honest, I can't think of any other reason for yellowing.

Once Tuesday rolls around I'll have a nice journal with lots of new stuff added.

whats up chowda. i wouldnt give them ANY nutes yet, not even reduced strenght. they are 21 days old, right? still just just baby babies.

i dont think nutes or deficiency have anything to do with your yellowing. i thinks its overwatering, i had the same problem. what are you using for soil? does it already have any nutes in it (like miracal grow does)? I dont give my plants anything but water and light until they are four - six weeks old or almost a foot tall. i learned thru trial and error. water by when they need it, not on a set schedule like yoyo says. I stick my finger in the soil to my second knuckle, if it feels dry i water. If its moist, even slightly, i dont. works for me.

What's goinzon main? Thanks for stopping by :weed:

Ok I'll go ahead and give that a try, thanks for the help. I'd much rather be safer than sorry, but I also thought I might be doing something wrong by restricting N from the plants. :dunce:

I'm using Fox Farm Ocean Forest and I've got organic nutes lined up. I've been watering how you said, but maybe even then I'll let it go an extra day when it feels dry.

The soil feels and looks real real bone dry, but this is like every other day, I mean how much water do these things eat up?

:bigjoint: I'll keep it updated, more pics within the next day or so.

As for everyone that's reading this: This joint's for you. :joint:

Thanks for all the support and help everyone :-o

yeah man, your always better off with less instead of too much. you can alway add more water, but you cant take it out.
SOOOOO, with an outdoor grow what are your plans for eliminating males? are you gonna check em every day once you put em outside? cuase one male could do some damage... just curious about that.
you can probably save some loot by just transplanting into 1 galloon buckets, they are going ouside soon, like in about 4 weeks right? my local dollar store (dollar tree i think) has one gallon buckets for a buck. i got my indoor plants in 5 gallon buckes but they are doing thier whole grow in there. plus thats alot of lugging heavy buckets out to the woods.

i gotta start my grow journal. i had 14 plants from seed that went into 12/12 under HPS on 3/13. over the last 2 days 6 turned out to be females FLIPP'N SWEEET, and 3 males so far BOOOOOO. I took those dudes out back and shot them in the dome! still 5 shy palnts yet to show thier sex. not bad M/F ratios so far.
2 of the Fems are Kush and i killed 2 male Kush. the rest is bagseed, i only keep bag seed if its some sweet shit, but its still bagseed. i got some Haze seeds and a few sweet god clones coming from a friend. i have always grown indoors but you and yoyo have inspired me! i think i'll throw a few kush and a few sweet god outside in the woods and see what happens. ( i have 4 fem kush vegging in the veg cabinet and i'll clone the sweet god clones when i get em) it would be cool to compare an indoor vs outdoor grow of two identical clones and what the dif isin yield and quality. keep up the good work man.

daammmn you sound all set up! good thing you showed them sucka ass males who's boss :fire: I probably would have felt bad and gave him some lovin with another one of my females, made some crazy fricking offspring to see if I could cross breed and end up with some dankness.

CHECKOUT THIS GUYS GROW - He is cross breeding grape ape with hindu kush. It's seriously some of the most beautiful dank combos I've seen to date. Give him props, they are looking great :weed:

You've got haze? What kind, mine's supposedly a cross between Neville's Haze and Cambodian/Laos ancestry. Nicccee kush? What kind? You need to upload some pics man, I'll bet they're pretty as hell ;-)

All of my plants are females, except for the 5/14 that are Mandala Satori, which are regular seeds. I'll hopefully see some pre-sex before I put them outdoors, if not, I'll be watching very closely either way :)

Once you put up that journal though, I'll be watching :bigjoint:

I also think it could be my pH, since I haven't checked it once :dunce: :wall::wall::wall:

I've used tap and filtered water (PUR) and decided until I get a pH scale, I'm going to mix the tap/filtered together and water with those.

But yes, once again I'll back off with so much watering unless needed. These small pots though need to be transplanted, they barely even stay wet for a few hours!

i'm not sure of the exact strain for the kush or haze but i can find out. i get the seeds from a friend of friend. my buddy knows us both but we dont know each other. its kinda wierd trading clones/seeds that way but it works for me, my buddy even emails pics of each others grows, i feel like i know the guy. i use distilled water only. its 75 cents a gallon at wally world, its kinda funny checking out at walmart with 10 gallons of water and a family size bag of doritos! you can get a ph test cheap at walmart in the pet section, or any petstore. you shouldnt have to worry about it too much once they are out side because the soil will give you a nice buffer.

yeah, i was sick this weeked- allergies/sinuses whatever.... no biggie, just didnt feel like sitting upright for the time it'll take to get me grow journal going with snots running out my head constantly. i have tons o pics but they are a pain to post be cause i have to edit each one individually in MS Paint because my camera dowloads them to my laptop way too big. i'll get it going soon. they are 16 days into 12/12 and the 2 female kush have gone from about 12 inches to 30 inches in 16 days!!! pics soon

i'll check out that other dudes grow

oooo very nice, yea I think I might checkout Walmart for some supplies, you think distilled water would have a more stabler pH?

Cut n pasted from google....
Natural water usually contains a number of microscopic contaminants, along with dissolved minerals such as calcium and iron. One way to remove these elements from waterfrom google is to boil it until it changes to steam, a process known as distillation. When this steam is allowed to cool down and condense into liquid form again, the result is a purified form called distilled water. Distilled water should ideally be nothing but hydrogen and oxygen molecules, with a PH level of 7 and no additional gases, minerals or contaminants.

City /tap water is worse, it has the same trace minerals as natural/spring water plus hardeners/softeners, chlorine, rust, whatever else in it.

With distilled water you start with zero parts per million and a neutral ph and if you use soil with no nutes added you can control exactly what they get with no guessing if you overnuted or are deficient in a nute. I add my nutrients to distilled then feed. I don’t even ph it anymore. The ladies love it.

If you HAVE to use tap, let it sit out in an open container for 24 hours before watering. This will allow chlorine or other chemicals in the water to evaporate out (you can smell and taste the difference) and then I’d run it through a Brita filter/pitcher.

But distilled is the best, unless you wanna install a R/O filter in your home. $$$$$

once they go outdoors just let water from the hose set out overnight in buckets the day before you water..... natural soil adds a great buffer zone so you shouldnt need distilled water outside unless your city water sucks real bad... even then you could collect rain water from your gutters. if your neighbors dont think thats odd
you could start a compost pile this year so you have some mean earth to plant in next season.
