I’ve noticed that people come in here asking questions without researching it first, well i'm gonna try to make things easier for those who are new at growing or not very experenced at growing. I’ll be here to try to answer those question asap. I’ll be in & out this thread from 6 a.m. to 6-7 p.m. central time. I'm going to try to cover most of the basics, & some of the more advanced techniques needed for growing marijuana, from start (seed), to finish (curing). If anybody finds something wrong let me know so we can fix it, to make sure everybody gets the correct information. Theres alot of things needed to start growing, so this is the place to ask those questions, so go ahead and ask away. if i help you a + rep would be great, but not nessary, not sure how to +/- rep, ask. & if u think this thread has been helpful, please rate it.

ight well ill be the first to ask a question.... kay so my plantss keep growin up but there not growing more leaves and idk y i have the light really close to the plant less than two inches bc wen i did that the plant shot up from a sprout to touching the light in like 6 hours how do i make it grow more leaves

how are you growing?? soil,hydro,aero??

anywayss.. you can top your plant to make it grow more wide than tall..

if your trying to grow "more leaves" you cant. some plants will grow differently than others.. its genetics!!!!

ahaha im growin in soil and i dont think im ready to top because i only have the 1st 4 leves that come up imidiatly after it flowers all are bag seeds...when would be the time to start toppin i know the basics of topping but since u wanna help out lazy ppl such as my self do u care to explane

wait until your plant grows 5 nodes then top at the 2nd true node...not counting the little leaves at the bottom of the plant

you will get 4 main colas from this method..for more on this method look for uncle bens topping method

I have three 6500K, 1600 Lumen, 26 watt CFLs about three inches from the planters and im just waiting for them to sprout.
btw this website is the shit, i didnt even know how to start any of that before i found this site.
Anyways any cool suggstions from any of the experienced growers would be greatly appreciated...

get a inline or centrifugal fan, bigger the better but remember they are noisy

Hope you get a female ... get some better lights like MH or HPS I use CLFs for my seedling and clone room but that's all they are relay good for and even then i would rather a MH but im trying to keep power useage down

wait until developed... if you top at above the 2nd true node you will get 4 main colas.. try it out.. its amazinggg

i still dont get what im doin wrong my plants arent growin more leaves they just keep f*ckin growin up and up the exact opposite of what i want...i had it on 24 hour light cylce with a few diffrent cfl lights but the plants just keep growin up and all they have is the top leaves it gets shortly after it sprouts and i dont think the stems gonna be able to take the rapid growth even tho i have a fan on alll the time

Move your light closer, try training.

you can train a plant whenever.....you always have to expieriment..... see my avatar ... that is from years of expieriments....i figured out what nutes.. when and where to top.. when to train etc....
