too hot and summers coming

Hi everyone, I visit this forum a lot and have found some very good advice on here, but I think its time for my first post, cuz I got some heat issues.

I am growing indoors in a spare room. I have some plants flowering in a 4'11" x 4'11" secret jardin grow hut, with 2 400w HID lights.

I have 2 180cfm inline fans blowing into the hut from the bottom, and 2 more of the same fans exhausting, one pulling air through the lights and the other pushing air from the top of the hut through a filter.

It stays about 79 degrees in the room, but the hut has been heating up to 86 degrees most of the time, and today it started to get even higher, so I shut one of my lamps off.

The reason I am using the hut is because in other areas of the room I have mother plants growing and clones being started.

Any advice on what I should do to solve this problem? I live in an area where it reaches 105 degrees outside in the summer. Thanks for any advice.

im not sure if by pulling air through the lights u mean cool tube or not, but definatly look into making a cool tube if you dont already have one, also i would recommend having an oscillating fan blowing over top of the plants close to the light so the heat is further disappated throughtout the room better

i fell your pain mate i just been through this myself thank fuck its Autumn now lol anyway have you thought of a portable air conditioner for your room ??

fan blowing on ur plants and cooltubes would be the first thing id do.

check the temps after uve done that. if there still high, i would look at ur extract system, rather putting a bigger fan in, or if the outside tempts get really high, shut one of the 400's off for 6 hours or something since ur using 2.

You should try getting the ballasts out of the room too. Cool lights help a ton. But ive got all that and i'm still gonna need to get an air conditionar for the room i pull my "cool" air in from.

Thanks all so much for the helpful replies. I am not quite sure what you mean by cool tubes, I have hoods that are sealed with glass so that ducting can be ran to them for air cooling, but I dont know if thats the same thing you are talking about. I have thought about getting a portable air conditioner, but I only have about 2 more amps to play with on the breaker everythings on. I was considering my extract system most of all, and I was wondering how well it work to have my fans all exhausting, and to just put some empty ducting running into the room at the bottom for the air exchange. If that doesn't solve my problem I will most likely reverse my operation and have my mothers and clones veg in the hut while I flower out in the room. Any thoughts?
