They are about a month into flowering...
Than he should get a hand scope. They cheap and everywhere.I don't think he has a way of looking at trichs so I set him on easy.

Another 4 weeks probaly. Look for the hairs to turn amber. then you will be set.
Do not pay any attention to the pistil colors … only harvest according to the color of the trichomes "
And what is one suppose to do if they can't see the trichs? Come on give them all the info you can. Below is a picture of a bud that is at it's peak. If you don't have a scope learn to read the pistils.
If a grower does not have a scope, then the grower must harvest after it is ripe and before it is too late. Those are the rules we must play by, I don't make them.so assuming one hasnt got the dough for a scope to check trichs how would you tell them to judge harvest?
Despite whatever kind of high that you want or what color the trichromes are there are ways to tell when a plant has reached her peak potency point.
I use a scope myself but dont even break it out to check until I see these things...If a grower does not have a scope, then the grower must harvest after it is ripe and before it is too late. Those are the rules we must play by, I don't make them.
<br />also wait for the hairs/pistils to start knotting and tangeling together. Calyxes will swell right before she is ready, when you see all 3 of those signs wait 4 days and chop.
Charts and Graphs pay off. No doubt. I like to put my scope on the house plants and check out the stomata's and veins. Crazy man Crazy.I use a scope myself but dont even break it out to check until I see these things...
I believe someone said something about the browining pistils right b4 I said this as well which is why it sounds so odd now...

as a general gardening rule, Ill run a strain 3 times checking it each of those times by waiting for signs to say shes near, then eyeballing her with the scope. After I figure out how long it takes to run that mom, I run her by date from then out and bud always comes out exactlly the same.
But unfortunately doing that isnt applicable with seed plants.

I tell you what a scope will take the guessing out of when to harvest. I was so tired of staring a plant for hrs trying to get the nerve to harvest and wondering at the same time can I go longer.
Lol gonna check out some salt and sugar around 420. Sounds wicked.check out some ashes, salt and sugar.
kinda nuts to see sugar and salt really look nothing alike close up...
A scope Pinpoints harvest to me...there was little guess before that once you can recognize what a plant is saying to you.
Some have more problems with that than others too though.
