Flower Fever....Anyone Else Suffering?

My gardens are dry as well, things looking stressed out. We have a water ban bylaw in effect from June to October, I can only water once per week on Wednesdays between certain hours of the day.
I do use rain water and hand waer when I can. I do have some flowers that still look good.
These look neat, have you ever seen a double decker cone flower?
Check em out,

very cool. :blsmoke:

The water ban makes things harder to have a nice garden. When things are dry, it invites bugs like aphids. These are my nemesis.

Flowers is fun:mrgreen:
Nice shots fdd and Chiceh....the only problem that I am having with rain is too much of it...powdery mildew is having a blockbuster year....major battle with it on some of my plants....Jap beetles are also going berserk munching away...
It is hard to believe that we are in the home stretch of this season....

Here is my one sunflower plant, and one of my beds...

Thanks fdd....I am very happy with this strain of New Guinea Impatiens....(Park Seeds) in some other beds they are almost three feet tall and still growing and flowering...I started 'em from seeds back in late Feb.
They can take more direct sunlight than most Impatiens...:joint:

These are two plants of same strain.....powdery mildew has attacked all of my plants this year....bummer:evil:

i'm having mildew issues also. what are you doing for it? i've been spraying peroxide.

I alternate sprayings of 3% peroxide with a mix of 4 teaspoons of baking soda and a little liquid soap mixed with one gallon of water as spray solution....
The two solutions keep it under control for the most part….still it’s a big hassle because I have to keep it off of my buds….constant vigilance baby!

I am dealing with ahpids, I killed hundreds yesterday. All my roses were covered, the whole buds were crawling with little green ahpids. I sprayed em with my trusty home made solution of dish soap, water and vinegar. I will hose the roses off later today to get rid of them for good. I looked this morning and they are dead or dying. All little brown to black spots now. Fuckers. This is the second time this season I have had to do this. They just suck the bud right dry. No pretty flowers, just dried up yuck. Not his round of buds though. I got em early on before the buds got big and started to open.

arctic fires opened today.....

Nice flowers fdd, I see you may have a green thumb. Do you like growing flowers as much as weed? I do have a soft spot for my roses and give them lots of attention.I like all perennials and am starting to collect different ones. My gardens are looking great riht now. The fall colour is coming.
But really growing weed is not much different than other plants eh? I tend to give my pot plants a bit more attention though especially my hydro grow.
I love flowers. :peace:
