so i found a plant, literally right in front of my house
im almost 100% sure its weed, but i have a few doubts

A: the leaves only have 5 segments, not 7, ive read that this doesnt mean its not weed, but i have my doubts about what i read on the interwebz.

B: the stem (and the leaves, though not near as much) has a redish/pink hue to it and is very thick for what appears to be a young plant.

C: ive never planted seeds anywhere near the site it came up.

i have researched thoroughly and i cant find another plant that looks as much like weed as this one does, but i hope u guys can clear up my final doubts, so i can get to takin care of this baby :bigjoint:

i will post pics eventually, but i dont have a cam right now

Thats what i think might have happened, cause i alway throw my seeds in a little garden box thing out back to see if they'll sprout, but this one is right up front in the open, like where someone would drop a seed, not plant it

Are you trying to grow? I highly (pun intended lol) doubt it's bud, but like Sinse said, stranger things have happened.

Should save some of your bag seeds or whatever and give it a go. Tis easy.

i finally borrowed my girlfriends camera to take some pics of this one.
so im pretty much 100% sure its weed now, unless someone has any other ideas,
now to cross my fingers and hope its female :] (BTW, one of the leaf segments on each of the mature leaves was pulled off when i checked it this morning, no idea what happened, i figure it was an animal or something.

exactly wot i thought even a quick glance told me conker tree (horse chesnut) lol. unlucky man
i found this when i searched for horse chesnut to check how similar the plants are. This sprout right here is a horse chesnut tree, AT 1 YEAR OF AGE. For some reason i dont believe your sprout is horse chesnut unless we have hit a time paradox ~_~

As for cleome, the leaves are very similar looking to cannabis (if you grow a heavy indica the leaves will look VERY familiar to you). However everything i found shows this plant to have non-paired internodes, as if it was grown from clone. I would have to say that it really looks like bud after looking into these other plants, just very stressed. Other than the slight stress the leaves are just too perfect to be either of these other plants. Heres a pic of cleome :

they grow two leaves per node until mature, just like a pot plant. THEN, they alternate, and the plant flowers. called spider flower because of the big ball with lots of "legs".

during the first part of cleome's growth, one could SWEAR it's pot! I have it, can't get rid of it; one plant produces thousands of seeds :p

thats how i thought most plants grew but even pictures of cleome sprouts i saw were alternating starting after the cotyledons. because of the consistancy i found i thought i should mention something >_<
