Looks like it is going to run around $600 to make a light yourself. Here is what I would suggest if you want an led setup that should give you a chance at growing, not those little 2 watt LED's.

Well I've never been anti LED like most people would believe, I'm just anti UFO becuase I don't see how you can get enough light out of the small LED's they use. When you start using the higher power LED's then I start seeing possibilities.

I only posted that after 15 pages of being called everyname in the book because I don't think people buying ufo's is an effective way to grow.

1/2 watt led's just aren't going to cut it for growing, that's my opinion on the subject and always will be.

If someone wants to grow using high powered LED's and post the results I'm all for it, I think they should at least get decent results. Growing with a UFO will always be sub par.

Really I don't care what anyone wants to grow with, I just don't like seeing people being misled into thinking something is really great to grow with when the results don't back it up. If someone knows the facts and still chooses to go with a ufo then great for them, but seeing every other post stating it will beat a 600 watt hps bothers me. I don't like seeing people waste their money or getting scammed.

That's fine, I just wanted to point out that you bashed LEDs many times in this thread without specifically stating UFOs. When people countered with theory as to why LEDs have good potential, you still didn't seem to acknowledge that and continued to rant against the early adopters of LED tech.

However, since you either have changed you stance or at least clarified it now, consider the matter dropped.

hahahhahahhahahhah la9 is back!!!! and by the way u have probably committed to about 20 pgs of argueing that LED sucks as a whole, not just the UFOs.
