I need some flowering info

Can anyone please tell me if it's possible to change my lights to 12/12 until the plants show their sex, and then switch back to 18/6 before they actually start flowering without damaging or over stressing them?

pick a lower branch and bag it with a light proof bag that you install and remove giving the one branch 12/12 ,other wise the hormones that have to be reversed will take weeks for the plant to recover

The only thing I've heard on that front is to pick a branch and put it on 12/12 using a paper bag that can breathe or something to that effect. The only friend I have that is a regular grower with experience tells me this isn't a good idea, and the few people I've gotten advice from here all seem to agree any additional stress just increases the odds of getting a male in the first place.

Pu them on 12/12 for one day and wait about a week and they will start to show sex

Genetics makes them a Male not stress.Stress can make them a Hermie.
