does ryhe flour work as a substrate instead of brown rice flour? it has no preservatives and it isnt bleached!THANKS
What are you talking about??if the store doesnt keep the BRF in a fridge, just keep walking....
If you realy want a mean substrate makeing some super healthy fungi, try and find any purple corn or grains.
Pre ground BRF works just fine!I'm no expert. But I have had heard (and had good results with) that buying brown rice flour from a store is not as good as buying organic brown rice and then grinding it in a coffee grinder (shaking it while grinding to help it get really powdery). I guess that it can loose many nutrients after its ground by sitting and being moved around a lot. Maybe just how the stores or manufacturers do it but my mycelium seems to grow much quicker and healthier when I grind it up at home then when (the first time) i just bought the brown rice flour.
sooooooooo i am using rhye flour so i was wondering if anyone knows if u can break rice flour cakes up and case them or if it will only work for grains............. i'm not to worried about the temperature of brown rice flour mostly cuz i am not using it, thanks though guys
