Are these temps bad?

I have my lights off during hte day and on during the night. During hte day I keep my intake fan off to allow the AC unit to cool the room down and with lights off I can maintain 83-88 lights off. During hte night I can maintain about the same with lights on and at that point the air outside the room is cool enough to keep the intake fan on. Are these temps good enough or sohuld I switch my cycle so lights are on during the day? I feel if I did that then I'd need the intake fan on during the day and with the lights on the temps would get way too high...

They are 5 weeks into flower... I just went up there and lights are off at 90 degrees. I need to switch this to lights on during day...Should I just go ahead and extend the night?

Its 90 degrees and the lights are off? Im sorry dude but im not buying that ur temps are the same when the lights go on.. especially since your starting at 90! What size are the fans ur using? Do u have proper air flow? What kind of light system do u have set up? How many plants are u growing? What size is the growing area? Need all this information to help you... I have my light cycle set to come on at 8am and go off at 8pm the number one reason (at least for me) is to have the least amount of a chance to have any kind of light leak issues during the critical flowering stage since during the time the lights are off so are the ones outside/inside (sleeping). This also helps avoiding police and there heat camaras they normaly use at night...

The room is 14x10x8. it's on the second floor, so a lot hotter. During the day the its so hot up there and thats when the lights are off, so thats why its 90. I keep exhaust on all day and a have a big intake fan thats about 12" blade to blade, but I keep it off during the day so it doesn't push so much hot air in hte room. Other than that there are passive holes through out the room from air to seap in. 2 1000s 1 400 running. 1 osc fan and 1 box fan alway srunning. What should I do?

If its that hot in there then you might try getting a portable air conditioner. They range anywhere from 200 - 400 bucks and will cool that room now nicely. Here's one at Walmart for $330. But they're fairly cheap anywhere. Will pay for itself in your first crop with better buds.

i've heard nothing but bad things about using a portable a/c. don't you have to change the water multiple times per day? isn't the temp control unreliable?

You could always go buy a C02 Boost bucket for when the lights are on. they run 119 USD. It will benifit your growth plus with C02 you can run higher temps without much of a paroblem as long as they aren't extreme. With a room that size on high the boost bucket should raise your PPM C02 levels by about 600. Not maximum but definately benifical.

Ya I have a portable AC unit that helps a bit, but not much unless the intake fan and exhaust are off. I'm planning on getting a co2 generator sometime soon as well.
