Exhaust/intake off during lights off?

My lights off period is during the day and thats when the temps are hard to manage. Would it be ok to keep my exhaust/intake off for the whole day until lights come on during hte night, just to keep hte temps down?

i usually leave them on becasue when my pc is on i leave them on its lights off time now and my computer is on so some times i leave them on and some times on but as smokingrav said during flowering its quite important to leave them on 24/7 :)

Well they are 5 weeks into flowering...I have them both on during the night, when lights are on. If I leave them both on during the day it gets wasy too hot up there, so I keep the intake fan off, but now I think I might need to leave exhaust off during day too so it doesn't take all my AC units' cool air out. Will the plants have enough air if I leav ethese off? Or should I just keep exhaust on 24/7 and keep the intake fan on only during lights on

You could have humidity issues if you do not vent during lights out. Why can't you just put your intake/exhaust fans on a timer? It doesn't cost much to kick on a couple of fans for 15 minutes at a time, 3-4 times during the dark period. So what's the problem?

Ok then does this sound good? Keep exhaust/intake on during lights on (night) and then during lights out (day) have the exhaust and fan on a timer so they go on for 15 mins every hour or so? Could I get away with less than that?

yeah sounds like a good idea but if your gonna do that you mightaswell do it 15 mins every hour for the whole 24 hours or better still just leave it on it uses next to nothing in power :)

ya true, but the point is to get the temps down a bit anyways

yo i heard of puttin a tray of ice near a fan and as it melts it cools the air. which your intake is taking in or make sure it's getting fresh air. fresh is always the best .also a regular fan helps circulate the air in the room

That would lower the temps, but also raise the humidity, which is undesirable during flowering.
I don't know how you have your room setup with the ac etc, but I would ditch the intake fan. At best it's a waste of electricity, at worst it's restricting the amount of air that can flow through the room. Just use a passive intake and if temps are too high, use the ac to cool the incoming air.
