Shroom identification help

Ok, so I found these mushrooms growing in the wild in dead leaves. I've been doing research on how to tell if a shroom is probably psychedelic and which ones will kill you. I think it looks like a pilocybe mushroom of some kind, just wanted other more experienced mushroom cultivators opinion please. And please no saying "your gunna get yourself killed" or anything else like that i'm fully aware of the risks of picking and eatting wild mushrooms.

those are NOT cubensis. You live in the US ya? If so you're prolly only going to find liberty caps containing psilocybin - these are small and grow on cow shit. You can also find muscaria mushrooms but those tend to be alil iffy.

your gonna get yourself killed,

i definetly think these arent cubensis see if they bruise blue if not i wouldnt.

the thing is with mushrooms its not worht it,

some of them can kill you within a day, some of them could just make you throw up n be a little sick. Or some can take 10 years or whatever.

Just grow em they arent too hard.

Peace.

You wont find cubensis in the wild in USA. and it takes more than just a whole pic to ID them. You need to know the color of the veil, spore print color, and more. 99% chance you wont find psychedelic mushrooms growing in the wild unless you know where to look.

Dude do you even live in the US there fucking all over Oregon:wall:. Psychedelic mushrooms usually come in seasons. So you'll have to find the seasons.

cyanescens and muscaria are in the US as well but picking and eating strange mushrooms is insane. Anyone know when liberty cap season is on the west coast?

There are MANY kinds of psilocybe mushrooms that grow native to the US. Those pictures you posted are NOT any that will make you trip. DON'T EAT THEM.

Whoever says cubensis do not grow in the wild in the US is an idiot, they grow naturally all over the south, espcecially native to Texas and Florida. Go to shroomery.org and see for yourself.

For me, where I live, I have to look for the Big Laughing Gym, Amanita muscaria, psilocybe ovoidiosystadia (sp?) and Pan Subbs. Cant remember the street name AND scientific name of all of em tho lol.

Don't eat those shrooms you have. Grow your own, its much safer for your health.

No, I've never eaten muscaria. I too have a big bag of em all dried out, ready to go, but I haven't made the leap. From what I've read, its just a "poor mans trip" and you could experience BAD stomach cramps. I usually can get street shrooms (cubies) most anytime I want, so there's no point for me to eat muscaria for a less-than-stellar trip.

I have however smoked some of them. Ha, strange experience....they don't taste that good smoked, and all I had was kind of a strange buzz for bout a half hour then I felt normal again.

Those are def NOT liberty caps. Don't eat them. EDIT: More than likely, this is what you have: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inky_Cap Don't Eat Them

And I noticed you have a tendency for resurrecting old threads. What gives man? :bigjoint:

Well... I guess I could make some ink . Anyways i've done more research and found out no types of psychedelic mushrooms well atlest psilocybe ones grow wildly where I live. I've just decided to take up growing using the PF-Tek Method.... and regarding that I was wondering what a good psilocybe cubensis strain would be to grow. I was thinking Cambodians or maybe B+. Edit: opps didn't read the quote from the other comment wasn't directed towards me sorry bongsmilie

actually, you can find cubes in certain areas in the us, though they are not indigenous. p. cyans are also found in the states.

however, growing your own is the only truly safe way to go here. contams in legit mushrooms can make a lethal combination, so even the RIGHT ones can kill.... o.o

grow your own, it's easy, cheap, and fun! :)
