hey people

was just wondering about bluemoonshine

was wondering what phenotypes there is

can any one help?

Just harvested 4 plants...Saw at least two phenotypes and possibly a third.. One pheno was of short/medium height and produced large but grassy, non-compact buds. The smoke on this phenotype was very good for not being good bag candy at all really (a few bananas popped up at the end of flowering on these pheno). The second phenotype was much taller and produced smaller but much more compact buds. The look of the buds was much better on this phenotype as was the high (very relaxing and dreamy yet not sleepy bud at all). Overall I liked the Blue Moonshine and it gets me high (even the crappier looking grassy pheno) but it wasn't the holy grail type of indica I thought it might be. Could be because I had Dutch Passion's and not DJ Short's. Pics of DJ Short's BM buds that I've seen look much better than ours turned out to be.

I was considering growing this strain, maybe Ill give DJ shorts version a try. Would you be so kind t otake pics for us to see please.

We harvested at 70 days (including nothing but Sugar Daddy and water for the last week). My cam is out of commission so no pics now...Got about a little over an ounce and a half per plant...Not really good yield particularly but the effect is a desirable one. Not an overpowering buzz but I have quite a tolerance so it may really kick some other smokers asses. It's a great smoke to have an intense workout after you smoke it. I feel it enhances concentration.

Kinda like Dutch passions Blueberry, not a great yielder.

Whats your overall opinion on Dutch passion as breeders?

Yea , Try Dj shorts... I havent grown it but i am in the CAlifornia and have had Blue Moonshine in Oaksterdam and it is ALL THAT at least this one was. Moonshine is a great description. Dense , purple and sugar coated ...very dense and "couchlock" high for sure.

I don't see a lot of variation in the BMS plants as far as smell.

I have 2 that are more purple than the others.

2 were more stretchy than the other 4

One is flowering later than the others, and 1 has bigger fluffier looking buds - like the second poster was saying.

They are pretty consistent.

If you crossed it with a sativa I'm sure you'd see lots of different pheno's, but this strain is somewhat consistent.

Talk to raiderman. He's done several runs with bluemoonshine and I think he's trying some experimental breeding project.
