Global Warming... Oops, I'm Sorry It's Now Called CLIMATE CHANGE

Climatology is an infant science AT BEST. Yet these so called "experts" speak of millions of years of climatic change like they've got it all figured out. What a crock! Conveniently, the leaders of the world are easily duped by those with PHD resumes hanging on the wall and other man-made "pats on the back". Once they realized people's guilt for their standard of living could be exploited, entire economies and countries became putty in their hands. To hear anyone claim definitively one way or the other regarding climate change is just another leap of faith. One thing's for sure. There is a lot of money in guilt, and more often than not, it's a liberal chomping at the bit to exploit it.

Climatologists don't even accurately predict the weather all the time today. When they can nail that down 100%, then maybe I'll start listening to more of this "hard science" like its fact. Even then, I'll make sure to take lots of grains of salt with me too.

Thank you so much for posting this crackerJ!!! All of the sinister minds purveying this hoax as a means for more taxes through cap and trade and other avenues are preying on grassroot organizations such as the push for legalizing marijuana as part of their way of infiltrating every1's minds with this nazi-esque ga'bage and ppl are eating this horseshit up and I sure hope this article will open sum eyes.....dutch

alot of money in gulit , who profits from you biking, noone but you its not about money you fucktards
Fucktards? Nice one. Were you on the debate team? America is the largest consumer of oil. It also has the one of, if not the highest standards of living. You don't think other countries would like to see the playing field leveled with expensive, mandated vehicles like Priuses, slapping on carbon taxes, mandatory fees handed out to those who go over their "allotted amount" in the form of "carbon credits" like Al Gore is literally in the business of selling? See, if they can convince people that CO2 is evil, then they can tax it and control many aspects of the worldwide economy. Too bad this subject is obviously beyond your tiny mind's ability to reason.

The only one who profited by me biking was the bicycle dealer, the manufacturer ... and me.

Who's profiting off of the Global Warming hoax? Check out the growth of Al Gore's net worth since leaving his government post. And that's just a drop in the bucket. If Cap & Trade is enacted, Gore stands to make upwards of $500,000,000.

Gore is heavily invested in the industries he deems green. No conflict there right? Cap & Tirade is about to become reality it seems. Get ready for the cost of LIVING to go up across the board.... nice.

Funny this is right from the article; "as he acknowledges, he could be dead wrong." Hes just offering the devils advocate view. Its funny that everyone says nothing is happening or CO2 isn't really the problem. None of you live in a cold climate. I can remember as a kid 20ft snowbanks and 3 months or more of -20C weather, now we are lucky if there is a month of -20 or any snow at all.

gee really? This year we had the most snow EVER recorded, and 7 weeks of consistent sub zero temps. The coldest year for the last 2 decades, hell it got negative 50 here for 4 days straight. Now, oranje, just like your evidence is purely anecdotal, so is mine. Evidence suggests that Polar Bears are having their best season ever though.

Personally i think it has more to do with sunspot activity than anything else, it should start to taper off after 2012.

what's up with the wooly mammoth? he used to live in certain areas, until they froze. now that things are thawing out maybe he will get to come back. :)

poor mammoth. :(

So I guess all the ice fields melting, the glaciers dissapearing, the mean temperature going up, really doesn't mean diddly to you righties,. EH? Well, think about your vacation homes at the beach under ten feet of water, that may get your attention, I'm thinking beachfront property in Nevada, wow, I can't wait. I think I'll start building my beach house next week. As soon as a comet comes close enough to tilt the earth, So.Nv may be subtropic again, 85* and 95% humidity, I'll start planting coconut palms shortly. All you people that think climate change is a hoax, well the word stupid comes to mind. The real profiteers are the ones that want the status-quo preserved. Here's a scenario: All the rivers that supply half the earths drinking water will dry up if the mountain glaciers dissapear, ground water is being used at an alarming rate and is not being replenished, the next major world crises, (excluding mans destructive policies), will be a shortage of water, driving 1/3 of the worlds population into the wet areas of the planet. In the lower 48, we'll have to tap into Canadas prolific water supply. Maybe we should think about being nice to Canada.

i never said it was a hoax. it's a cycle. and if nevada becomes ocean front, so be it. it's not going to kill us.

to believe the planet should be stuck in a state of constant is pretty naive. :peace:

Let me think, Where did I say anything about stuck in constant? That's right I didn't. Is there a natural progression of climate change, well probably, but nothing has ever been recorded that documents the speed of this change up untill now. Previous changes happened over thousands of years or at some cataclysmic event like earth tilt changes, volcanic activity or meteroic impacts. The changes we are seeing presently are from man made environmental changes. They are definently changing the climate and the weather, stay tuned for further drastic changes. I might sell you a beachfront lot real cheap. Dial 5551212 and ask for medicineman,~LOL~.

yes, "dramatic" is the perfect choice of words.

so it's happening faster, whoopideeee dooo. gonna happen regardless. bet if you go out into that desert and look hard enough there will be oceanic fossils. how'd they get there?

slowly, i guess. hehehehehehehe

we're all gonna die.

Just a bit of irony.

We've been using DDT and it's killing Bald Eagles (That's Bad)
We've stopped using DDT, and the Bald Eagle is making a come back (That's Good)
The Bald Eagles are killing off the Cormurants who are now projected to go extinct due to the actions of the Bald Eagle (That's Bad)

(The last is actually on the cover of some magazine, National Geographics, or IDK.)

No, matter what we do we are going to have an effect on Earth, the best thing to do is just accept this fact and live our lives how we want.

Of course between Cormurants and Bald Eagles I'd rather have Bald Eagles.

Heres a good article: http://www.climatescienceinternational.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&catid=1:latest&id=31:vanishing-sunspots-prelude-to-global-cooling
VANISHING SUNSPOTS PRELUDE TO GLOBAL COOLING?
Sunspots have all but vanished, and activity is suspiciously quiet. The last time this happened was 400 years ago -- and it signaled a solar event known as a "Maunder Minimum," along with the start of what we now call the "Little Ice Age.

Science Solar Activity Diminishes; Researchers Predict Another Ice Age

Michael Asher (Blog) - February 9, 2008 11:53

Sunspots have all but vanished in recent years.

Henrik Svensmark explains the SKY experiment Global Cooling comes back in a big way

Dr. Kenneth Tapping is worried about the sun. Solar activity comes in regular cycles, but the latest one is refusing to start. Sunspots have all but vanished, and activity is suspiciously quiet. The last time this happened was 400 years ago -- and it signaled a solar event known as a "Maunder Minimum," along with the start of what we now call the "Little Ice Age."Tapping, a solar researcher and project director for Canada's National Research Council, says it may be happening again. Overseeing a giant radio telescope he calls a "stethoscope for the sun," Tapping says, if the pattern doesn't change quickly, the earth is in for some very chilly weather.

During the Little Ice Age, global temperatures dropped sharply. New York Harbor froze hard enough to allow people to walk from Manhattan to Staten Island, and in Britain, people reported sighting Eskimos paddling canoes off the coast. Glaciers in Norway grew up to 100 meters a year, destroying farms and villages.

But will it happen again? In 2005, Russian astronomer Khabibullo Abdusamatov predicted the sun would soon peak, triggering a rapid decline in world temperatures. Only last month, the view was echoed by Dr. Oleg Sorokhtin, a fellow of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences. who advised the world to "stock up on fur coats." Sorokhtin, who calls man's contribution to climate change "a drop in the bucket," predicts the solar minimum to occur by the year 2040, with icy weather lasting till 2100 or beyond.

Observational data seems to support the claims -- or doesn't contradict it, at least. According to data from Britain's Met Office, the earth has cooled very slightly since 1998. The Met Office says global warming "will pick up again shortly."

Others aren't so sure. Researcher Dr. Timothy Patterson, director of the Geoscience Center at Carleton University, shares the concern. Patterson is finding "excellent correlations" between solar fluctuations, a relationship that historically, he says doesn't exist between CO2 and past climate changes. According to Patterson, we shouldn't be surprised by a solar link. "The sun [is] the ultimate source of energy on this planet," he says.

Such research dates back to 1991, when the Danish Meteorological Institute released a study showing that world temperatures over the past several centuries correlated very closely with solar cycles. A 2004 study by the Max Planck Institute found a similar correlation, but concluded the timing was only coincidental, as the solar variance seemed too small to explain temperature changes.

However, researchers at DMI continued to work, eventually discovering what they believe to be the link. The key factor isn't changes in solar output, but rather changes in the sun's magnetosphere A stronger field shields the earth more from cosmic rays, which act as "seeds" for cloud formation. The result is less cloud cover, and a warming planet. When the field weakens, clouds increase, reflecting more light back to space, and the earth cools off.

Recently, lead researcher Henrik Svensmark was able to experimentally verify the link between cosmic rays and cloud formation, in a cloud chamber experiment called "SKY" at the Danish National Space Center. CERN plans a similar experiment this year. A few years ago, Stanford University's Hoover Institution also reported finding a correlation between the sun and climate.

Even NASA's Goddard Institute of Space Studies -- long the nation's most ardent champion of anthropogenic global warming -- is getting in on the act. Drew Shindell, a researcher at GISS, says there are some "interesting relationships we don't fully understand" between solar activity and climate.
