Newbie Question?

My seeds has recently cracked like around 1 week ago. So i guess it is now in vegetation mode. Or however you right it. I'm new in growing at the moment and is growing 4 plants outdoor.

I have like sliced 1.25l/ 2L drink bottle (coke,sprite,fanta, etc) the top of it and have placed them over the 4 plants im growing outside. Is this a good idea of doing. When should i place the dome over it?

What does it do?
My dad said it is good for the plants.

Secondly - Will normal light bulbs still work, while i save up for better lighting system? Example of normal light bulbs are the one for your rooms. I got a batterened light but not sure if that will work.

Third Question - Weed Cycle
I'm confused on this one.
So vegetation is growing the weed - hours and how long?
Next;
Will be flowering if i'm correct? Flowering is making the weed plant produce buds.

next, i wouldnt bother with the dom over the plants. i have never used one, and iv never had any problems. normal light bulbs will work, but theyre shite!!
go into your local hardware store and buy a few energy saving lamps, they shouldnt be very expensive, like a few $.

the weed cycle:


the first stage is seedling, when the plants are small, and very young.
the second stage is vegative stage, where the plant grows, this is where the plant has more than 2 nodes (sets of branches), and is usualy around 18 hours of light.
theres a few more detailed stages, but the next important one is flowering, which occurs when you llower the amount of light the plant recieves to 12 hours of light. then the plant flowers. males are useless, and turn ur females useless, so pull them up asap.

The dome will keep your humidity up and let the leaves feed from it, no you want get cfl's light as there the cheapest light that are any goo for growing and the cannabis cycle is 24 of light for veg and when its big enough to flower you swicth to 12 light and 12 hours complete dark. hope that answer your question

Thank you for your reply. Well 3 of my plants look pretty healthy. But one isn't. And the stage is most likely Vegetation stage. The are around 9Cm tall and have their nodes out already.
About the dome, still not sure when i should place the dome over the plant. At night or morning. I have made a hole through the sliced bottle (Should i just have the dome with no holes? To keep huminity high, or allow the holes to have oxygen running through).

Yes i do grow with him, and i guess its pretty cool since i can just grow it outside without him yelling. I grew a plant recently but it got stuned growth. Smoke it under 5days with my friends LOLS.

A slit in the dome or just leaving it slighting off is good to allow for air flow.

Why do you need lights if you're growing outside? Are you starting them inside and moving them outdoors later?

They're outside at the moment. I'm going start beginning to move them when my shed is ready. Not sure when but when i get the equipments such as lightings and nutes and then more them inside the shed.

New question. I have found out that i have a halogen heater. Can i use that as light? The specs are 220 - 240 Volts ~ 50Hz, 1200 watts

u mean the light from the heater, nah, it would be a waste of time completely. as for the dome, once they get as big as uv got them, i wouldnt bother with the dome at all, theres no point, it wont add any benefit.

youre probably gonna have issues if you use this heat lamp i could be wrong though you can get CFL's for 3$ each at your local walmart a 6 pack for 12$ a half dozen should be sufficient enough light for your 2 plants

Ahhhhhh, whats a walmart? You mean your local shopping centre. Btw im in Australia. Anyways i will send you the pictures of my plants and i guess forget about the dome thing. Really appreciate the help
