how can u tell when to start flushing b4 u harvest

any of you Dons of growing gonna grace me with some of your knowledge. im 5 weeks into flowering and wondering when i need to start to flush as i have no idea how many weeks i have left i dont wanna lay off the nutes to soon incase it affects growth but i dont want chemical in my bud either do any masters have a rule 0f thumb maybe. id be so grateful kiss-ass

Normally its the 6th or 7th week when growing indica dominate plants and the 9-10th week when growing Sativas.
You can flush now (3x the volume of pot, wait 15 mins flush again with 1/4 strength nutes/molases) and after that just keep your nutes low.

i would actually not recommend flushing, but i guess it depends on what kind of nutes you are using. what are you using? i use earth juice nutes and i have never flushed, and my bud doesn't have a chemically taste to it. its squeaky clean!

if you are using something like miracle grow and want to flush you should do so about two weeks before harvest. that can be give or take a bit. flush twice and you'll be fine. get organic brotha, and you'll never have a problem!

So, I was asking this last night and was told that using molasses till the end of flowering can leave bud with a bitter taste.They were told by a very good grower that its better to stop molasses a few weeks out and use apple juice for the carbs instead!! Taste better, dont know amounts yet but I will be asking tonight and will let you know if interested!?

I have never had a problem useing molases. I use it all the way through. Would like to hear how apple juice works though.

As for flush I start when the trichs are staring to get cloudy..(see charts in sig).. then its about 10 days or so till they start to change amber.. I like a 50-50% cloudy/amber....

Ice for that apple juice it was DirtBag that does it... he has a "pornfolio" thread here somewhere it should be there as he posts same journals at a couple of sites... very good detailed grow................

apple juice, Yum. I've never tried apple juice but I have used diluted organic grape juice on some Purple Kush and buds came out super sweet.

I just started at that dose and everything went fine, so I'm of the mind, why temp fate....

You want to add it to your regular nute schedule. Not use it as a replacement.

I give one tbls per gallon once a week in veg, and 2 tbls per gallon in flower every watering/nute. Love Molases.

ok so i tried the molassas and i got to say WOW........ my plant now looks like its been rolled in sugar i cant say for sure it wasnt about to have a growth burst of trics anyway but it certainly has well more than it did two nights ago and ive been useing molasass for two days so who knows. im gonna keep using it now just incase
