Well I did put the HPS back in and my two females are doing good. They are on week 9 come monday! Being that they are sativa I'll probably keep them till week 10-11 before chop - flush is in the process now.

As for the heat problem, it still gets hot when everything is closed up, around 91F at top of tent and 86F at bottom. I just open the tent for now while the lights are on and problem solved. My MAJOR problem is venting into the same room its pulling air from...We had a few really cold days here and the temps in the room dropped and the temps inside the tent were real nice, even when closed! So for my next grow I'm getting an a cooltube and im cutting a hole through the closet wall to vent into the room behind it (spare bedroom no one goes in).

Here are some pics for your viewing pleasure.

why dont you just cut a 4 or 6 inch hole right above you grow room inside your closet and patch it up when you move out! its real easy, just vent the heat straight up and into the attic, it will also limit how much ducting your running, thats actually lowering your cfm of your inline fan! try not to put as much or as many bends in the ducting! im redoing mine so its right when i get my portable ac unit! im still having heat problems! my temps are good only when its 70F outside! any hotter and my room is a oven! today when i woke up (9:00AM) it was 97F in there! and its only the morning! so obviously i got a heat problems! My only other option is a ac, ive asked people on here how to vent my tent and i did and its still an oven in there so im just gonna invest in a 8,000 btu portable ac ($199.99) and see how it goes from there, check out my journal if you wanna see my recent pics (day 17)

Yeah that is a good point about venting to the attic. I may actually do that except its a good 6' from the top of the tent. How effective will my fan be (its like 100CFM) pushing air up that high, not sure how that whole thermodynamics thing works hehe. Will the hot air rise automatically and fan just be helping it along?

I'll have to do it and find out. Like you said on hot days it just really heats up in here. If my house is at 75F its 82F in the room and around 86F in the tent (opened). I wonder if I vent the air through the attic how much it will drop the room temps.

I want one of those AC units too but I'm pushing the limits of my wife's patience right now so I'm gonna keep it low key :P (like low key as a hole in the ceiling to vent to that she probably wont notice :P)

checkin' out your journal now.

ya i know wat you mean lol! Ya the fan will be helping the heat rise up out of you tent and into the attic! good then you wont even have to use that much ducting if its only 6" away! go in your attic (i know its horrible and disgusting but we all have to do it) and cut a hole where you want it making sure no wires are there and making sure your actually above your room and closet and not a different room lol, it will def help out a lot, do it then measure the temp and log it and see if you notice a difference

Not sure if I can get there through the attic. I was thinking of just cutting the hole from the closet and just poking the ducting through to the attic and then sealing it.

I'll post pics and updates when I get some extra time to do this :D

well sooner the better bro, those girls would love you for it! well if you cant get up there just get a step stool and make sure the trusses arnt in your way and punch a hole through the drywall and make it like 6inches and stuff your ducting in there! take like 5 mins
