cops do watch grow shops. Their have been lots of stories, on here too. Some people parking like miles away and then still getting pulled over for no reason. Blah, blah, blah. Grow shops I always read here, are watched. IDK. I hope not.

Well im with ya buddy! shit sounds suspicious to me considering you did the research and all the above...I would not talk them in anyway to the point down the line it will incriminate you...if you have any questions depend on us a little more vs askin them...they can point you out...the chances of someone pointing you out from this sight is highly unlikely...if you go again have someone else run in if your cool with someone if not try to only go once a month and NEVER PARK ARE DRIVE BY WHERE THEY CAN SEE YOUR PLATES AND GET NUMBERS...park around the corner or somthin and if you have a big pack just buy it first have wrap it in black and go swoop it right fast...i feel what the rest of you guys are sayin but growing is at an all time high in 2009 and the cops ARE AWARE of this.

...and yet people buy stuff from grow shops all the time and never get busted. Being paranoid is OK in small doses. Anything more and you're just frying your nerves for no good reason. That said, you could try to drive by the business at different times of the day and try to stop in when there are no or few other cars parked there - my local shop is barren the first 2 hours other than people quickly coming in, grabbing something and leaving. Walk in, quickly scan around for suspicious cop types. Clear? Grab one of the dudes that works there ASAP, be prepared and tell them exactly what you want. Get your stuff, pay and GTFO. Less time there = less risk.

I would even call ahead to check if they have what you need - if they're nice like my guys they'll pull everything for you so it's sitting by the front register ready to rock.

No offense neno, but I don't think you've ever been in a hydro shop - the people are cool, never ask your name or get into your business and probably could give a shit as long as you're not annoying them. Unless you live in cali or a major metro area they're probably not very busy most of the time.

I'd rather hit up the local hydro store than have it shipped from an online place that might slap HYDROPONICS GROW LIGHTS all over packages and then have it show up when I'm not home and sit on my doorstep for half a day incriminating the shit out of me.

i went to the local show last week. and i was talking to the lady for awhile. asking stuff like "what can i use to enhance the taste and smell of my bud" and shes fine with it. they obviously know whats up. the lady must of liked me or something because she took half the price off what i bought then gave me a big jug of advanced nutrients bud candy for free and said its a sample for me. lol

damn, dude, i hear that shite. i purchased a RO filtration system off of Ebay from a hydro/brew shop in Cali ... the bastards didn't even wrap it in brown paper. They shipped it in the original box ... it said "Stealth RO ... for your indoor flower growing needs... " etc etc.

I have actually seen them in the shop before.
Once a guy was just "standing around" by the door looking at everyone who came in, pretending to be reading the back of some bottle. He even had a notepad. I just looked around for a minute at pumps that are also used for fish tanks, then left.
Obvious cop was obvious.

I think the cops do watch hydro stores for sure but there after the guys buy nutes in 20L cubes ect, they don't wanna waste time with some piss ant grower whoes growing a few plants. Lol I once had the CIB raid my house fark it was funny, bongs and weed everywhere and they said "look we dont give a fuck about ya weed just show us where the speed is" I said " ya welcome to search but i don't have any nor does anyone else who is living with which i know of". They where happy and i didn't hide a thing and al was good. Keep it small and quite and all is good. Unless someone has reported you the police really don't wanna waste there time, though if some pricks snitches they will have to follow up the report.
Smoke here is not legal but decrimalised to take the stress of the legal system, growing in my shity state is still illegal but at worest you would be up for a 1k fine and loose of your equipment if ya keep it small.

The local garden center is behind a shopping center with a couple other smaller businesses... not much traffic goes through there. Well i pulled in today and saw a white van with black tinted windows in the back (not front) 100 feet from the parking lot. I took a quick glance at it as i was driving past it and it had just had a symbol which i think was the att symbol but they coulda just made one that looked like it and had att.com in relatively small print at the bottom front corner of the driver door. I was kinda sketched so i drove past the shop about 50 yards and parked in an empty area of the parking lot where they had a view of me if they had binoculars or somethin and played on the gps on my windshield then talked on the phone for a few mins and left.
A few minutes of googling led to me finding that that AT&T vehicles do not have back windows; its just metal paneling where they would be. Also, there was no phone number or anything on the van.
Somethin i was thinkin about literally just before i got there is talking to the garden center guys. I go in there about once a week to grab whatever (first grow... its always somethin new i need) and talk to them about it... like pest control, organic ferts, etc but i never said what i was growing and they didnt ask but im pretty sure they knew... they seem pretty cool both are kinda hippy looking college aged guys. And i use cash so they dont even know my name or anything, but do u think its bad in general to even talk to them about it? (and for the record, i wont be going to any grow shop in that city again.)

i work at a grow store and heres whats up, FIRST your just paranoid TWO if you got like a 6 lighter or more stealing electricity then you got a prob then THREE there watching out for someone else following his tracks...other than that no worries
