Seems like im on here every morning lol. Well yesterday morning my seed sprouted with its seed shell on its head where the two first leave should be. I got impatient and took it off reveling 2 little leaves. After about 20 hours of light and a couple hours of darkness the leaves have gotten bigger but its growing at a 90 degree angle lol. I assume its cause the seed shell was weighing it down when it was trying to grow up. Now I've tried to straighten it upward so that the leaves can reach for the light but the stem is hard. The leaves have gotten bigger and greener though so the nutrients must be getting to them. Should I break the stem and point it upwards or is my plant doomed?

Thanks for the reply, yeah my fear was that the steam would not be able to support the two growing leaves and just buckle over like some involuntary lst lol. Nope its not mulch its scott potting soil. I probably won't use it again cause its a very woody substrate. I think the organic soil will be better next time then again its about trial and error for first grows I hear. If this little northern lights get better Ill make a journal (hopefully).

no dont touch it it will straighten up in 1-3 days and those are seed leaves(cotyledons) not true leaves and always sprout at a 90 degree angle and you should have waited untill the seed shell had fallen of on its own(never pick them off).

When the plants are this young this aint a problem it will straighten up on it's own,but a good tip is to use a kabab scewer the wooden bbq ones put this on a angle so it pushes against the seedling and it will straighten up also turn it away from the light this will also force the plant to straighten has it seeks the light both work.

true, my first grow the plant should of died like 10 times according to everything i read but their isnt much imo that a very good flush and good lighting cant fix but it can take a long time to revive itself, 1 leaf and 24/0 light is all ya need it just takes a while
