Gotta new nute question

Ok been using the same foxfarm nutes for few years now and have just come across a new occurence in a recnet grow.I have a setup using a 20 gallon res for aero.I have added the required amount of nutes as always have but this time when I check the ppm after mixing Im not even close to what it should be.Usually my ppm would be around 1200 or so at this stage but I cant get it above 800 ppm even if I up the nutes.Any ideas.Using the foxfarm grow big, tiger bloom and big bloom. just kind of baffled me.Gonna try a new ppm meter to see if its just broken or what.

That would be my guess, or a re-calibration of your meter..

I have used foxfarm for hydro forever and have had it be dead on pretty much everytime.

OR... maybe a bad bottle of it?..

I have seen expired foxfarm nutes on the 50% off rack at the hydro shop, maybe they go bad?

Might be Im tendng to think maybe my truncheon wand is off.The plants dont seem to mind trhey look great as always so I stick to the amounts as they have always been right on to the fox farm charts just when I double checked this round getting that low read.I dont even know if this truncheaon wand can be calibrated??/

Truncheons as you know are factory calibrated...... if you look in the case, i think it tells you how to recalibrate it with some ppm corrected solution. My room and my Truncheon are in the dark. I might have a better answer 2nite or...... website time.


K, checked the site. Bluelab says that if the truncheon is giving low readings, just clean the sensor

i was reading a study done by some guy in a cannabis magazine,he was amazed to find out that the nutes in the bottles was so erratic,and it was not just one company but all,he found that advanced nutrients had the most consistant blend over time,but that it was not perfect,but that was one test by one editor.

I 2 have this problem once in a great while
