lol I dont really grow from seed.Occassionally I will start a new strain every year or 2 if there is something i want but usually I only grow from clone as its so much easy,faster and all around better then seed

hey man, me again... question about your aero setup!! im going to post his in your how make the 28plant setup and this one incase you dont look at one of them, neway... 2 d point! i was thinking and u have loads of sprinklers do you think i could use one of thoses foggers or 2? do you think with that setup the fog would rise up through the pipes? in asking because i think it might be cheaper than the pump in the long run!!? any help is much appreciated!!

after i grow my outdoor crop and "put it on the farmers marker" however much i make from this will go completely towards my aero setup. i am planning to use your DIY journal (whenever it comes out) TO THE LETTER except i will be using 1000 watt HID's and will make it into a 100 plant set or make 4 of your set ups (please don't ask why my grow is so big) you rally seem like a real DIY man
Some quick questions:
1. What kind of mister are you using)
2. What kind of backup generators are you planning to use
3. This question is for everyone: i was on nirvana's site and they have yields that boast up to 400 grams per plant yet a seasoned growers like filthy fletch, mogie or white widow are getting less than 3 ounces a not even dry!

Ok lets see foggers are nice but can clog easily so they need alot of attention if you use nutes but great for getting clones going.
Next questios 1000 watt lights are ok but 600 watters are much better and cheaper figure 2-3 lights per setup so 4 setups you need 8-12 lights to cover the area so youll need 200 amp service and dedicated outlets.100 isnt a large grow so no worries..I had posted the whole diy journel for this setup and it shows the misters never use spinners.I dont use a back up generator really never had the need you can have a simplr solar panek with a battery run a small water pump into the root zone for emergencies though. Ahh the yield question optimol yield and perfection is 1 gram per watt of light but that changes with more plantsif you have 1 large plant with a 600 watt light if perfect then 600 grams now have 3 plants with 1 light you get 200 grams per plant.Size of plants will play into yields and amount of lights per plant changes it also..Hope this helps answer some questions

cool you really helped answer some of my questions i just sent in my order to nirvana seeds by mail about 9 days ago and just got cinfirmation im really excited!!! so 1 gram per watt eh? thats something to think about, so if that is the case why would 600 watters work better than 1000 watters i know this is going to sound REALLY noobish but isn't the more light the better?

hey nice setup, but you might want to get a UV lens for your camera, I can tell you're pushing 600 or 1000watts of sunlight. If you use a pair of sunglasses and shoot through the lens, it makes the pics w/out the lines

yeah that was an old 3 meg camera from while back when I posted this thread. Thats gone and replaced with 12 meg now

This is an aeroponics setup not a fogponics setup so it uses fine micron mist from mister that run 24-7 no foggers are used in aeroponics. thanks for stopping in.I have made and use fogponics cloners but the cost and problems that come from trying a full grow with fogponics is just too much to deal with. they clog from nutrient salt build up and take lots of maintenence

Terrific informative and insightful journal. A question frrom a 1st time grower. I'm setting up aero/cfl room for SOG grow. I have a aero20 w/8 gal. res. How often do I dump res and nutes? Also using clones and thinking few days in water only then hit with veg nutes and a very short veg time maybe 1 week then to flower. Looking for 4' at harvest. Any comments or suggestions are encouraged.thanks,
