Water?

Hey Everyone,

Question for all the soil growers out there. What type of water do you use? I've been buying gallons of distilled water, but it's going to get expensive after a while. How safe is tap water. I live in Florida and I know it's got a lot of chlorine in it. But the chlorine I can fix by letting it sit out. Just wandering about the other stuff in it.....metals an stuff.

Also how do I go about collecting rain water. And how safe is the water from he run off of my roof?

Oh yeah, this is for an indoor grow.

Thanks

Once the ph has been done once and you should have a newly made batch of feed done at the sme time feed them this they will be fine bro think some people have been filling you head with shit.do you think that the water board would give water with all the sort's of stuff you are saying to people defo no feed them they will be fine. It is also ok to leave the water to stand but i like it in my plants has fast has possible.make just enougth for each feed then make a new batch day before watering .please tell me that you are not one of them guys that waters every 2 days unnessary 2 times aweek max feel the container when wet and it will be well light when they need next feed this will mean that you don't get premature root bund plants.always check the ph the next day itwill have risen a little but not much. But if it was me i would get the right ammount for your plants leave the water to stand all that day and night the next day dd nutrients ph and this way you know that the plants are getting the ph correct and the right nutrients.

I really do feel U..2x a week is plenty.. i like to stretch out watering as far as possible w/out damage. although if ur keepn a plant in a small container and its huge, healthy, and drinking alot it can need water every 24hrs.. maintain a solid schedule..but if 1 or 2 plants show they need water more than others..break the routine and feed them!:bigjoint:

HAHAH... actually this is my first grow and I've been giving them a cup of water every day. But they seem healthy and growing.(check pic) I guess I could try a good watering twice a week. I haven't been at this long enough to experiment yet.

But I think I will be switching to tap. Sounds like it's good to grow and cheaper.

Damn. I don't have a PPM tester. What's the cheapest one I can pick up.:blsmoke:

Living in florida, you can put a couple of (clean) trash cans outside and the out of nowhere flash flood 10 minute rainstorms will give you plenty :)

:mrgreen::mrgreen: HAHA so true. Wish I would have had it set up two weeks ago. I have waterfalls coming off of my roof in rains so heavy.
