What kind of fans/intake system are you thinking about using?

you may want to put 2 small 80mm pc fans in the back near the bottom and maybe 2 in the top with some carbon filters on them to keep odor down looks like a great box make sure it seals up tight if not get some weather stripping so no light leaks... btw what lights are you going to use ?

so the fans i will be using are dragon hydroponics 4 inch axial fans, i have 3, i will be using my 150 watt hps, and i have 8 cfls ranging from 1600-2700 lumens. i plan on getting a kush type of clone, now i have a n.l. x haze that is about 6' 5". i will be using a 5 gallon bucket with 2 - 3" airstones. i will be sleeping in the same room. i have 3 variable speed fans that are pretty loud also, was thinking high powered on the bottom and 2 axial at the top. what do you think?:blsmoke:

High powered at the top, passive intake at the bottom. An axial fan will struggle to shift air through a carbon filter, and if you move air out, more air will enter, so long as you leave somewhere for it to get in. Air can only flow through the room as fast as it is being exhausted, there's no point trying to blow more air in there.
As for your original problem of how to ventilate it, work out where you can put the cabinet next to something that you can run ventilation through, whether it be from the back, side, bottom or top. Your ducting has to go somewhere, once you figure out where the stale air is going, and where the fresh is going to come from (they should not be the same place) then it should be fairly obvious where you have to cut your holes for achievable stealth.

I was running a 400 watt HPS i could keep it cool 90 percent of the time. hear is some pics of mine. Lookin in the cabinet left side top hole I had a blower 160 cfm bloweing out. right side i had a 4 inch round duct fan around 95-105 cfm blowing in. bottom i had a 4 inch ax fan blowing in, and the top i had a second ax 4 inch bloweing out. I turned it on when ever it got hot. all the other small holes are breather holes. It was a good cabinet to grow in with soil. My first grow box.. good times. I just finished framing in my next grow room 12x 8x 10. all excited to be able to expand.:bigjoint:

this is the batch i ran in that closet. 10 plants 5 maled before flowering. started to flower.....four more males one female. the female is the one you see budding the 4 in front of the closet are the males. o just to let u know i had to put 3 strips of plywood 12 iches wide on the back to give it more soport. its only cordbord on the back. My light was heavy ballace & light all in same unit, so i had to do the same on top. happy grow.

i live in a apartment and i had cut holes in the walls for exaust and intake. it has been working pretty good but i don't want to have to worry about them finding out so i want to fix it and convert to a cabinet. i am a legal medical marijuana patient so i see less problems if i get caught, can't wait to get a house. anyways here is my current setup.
check out the pix!!:bigjoint::bigjoint:bongsmilie:bigjoint:also the last pix are the new dwc bucket setup with a netpot lid which i recommend to anyone who grows this way, they cost 9.99 on ebay with shipping included. i had problems with the netpot cut into a bucket lid

so i have it all mapped out and here are some pics of what i did so far. this is my cabinet 29"x72"x24".bought this bag of odor absorbing lava rocks it was only 5 bucks at home depot so i figure i will give it a try. i noticed no matter how many adjustments to the hinges i still had light escaping. so to fix that i added a adhesive weatherstriping on 1 side. added a 1 inch 90 degree elbow as my pouring port, and will cover it with a 1 1/4 cap to keep light out. saw some good clones today but need to finish the current plant 1st so i can use the hps light, the surge protectors, and extension cords from that.:eyesmoke:don't want my bill too high. bought this foam tape at homedepot today and put it all over the surfaces that the fan was resting on, it decreases the vibration hum i hear. i filled all the cracks with caulking, then covered that with the foil tape to reflect all the light possible:bigjoint:
check out the pics and write me back;-)
