I have never heard of using screws and tacks. I guess its hard to tell if something worked or not. Maybe I will give it a shot. So, I did the 24-36 hours of darkness before the chop on some of my plants. Not to sure if it did much. The smoke was Violator Kush and it was alraedy pretty triched up. I also drove some screws and tacks into the base of the plant. Hoping to get her to spew the last of her resiny goodness up to the buds. I figure it's worth a shot. You've waited this long. Have fun smoking em.
Looks to me like those buds are gonna take more than 1 week to finish properly. Def. 2 weeks, if not more. The hairs are mostly white which means new growth, and it looks like the buds will still swell a lot in the last couple weeks. Don't rush it. Have you looked at the trichomes under a scope? Patience Daniel San.
here is a image. and yes I know people its not from here, but until i see one from here that is of good quality Helpful info is helpful info!Yeah, I was wondering about that. Waiting a couple more weeks might work out a little better for my schedule anyway. dang it.
I have not looked at them under a scope. I would need to go buy one to do that. If i do, what am I looking for?
I have some knowledge and experience in lighting for movies and TV, so I'm applying the science of what I know to the function of the bulb. And I noticed a difference, so it worth keepiuung in teh back of your head. CFL's are generally new to the market, replacing the old style Edison filament bulbs. They were not designed to replace flat fluorescent lights which spread light evenly across a wide area using the convex surface of the flouros. cfl's were designed to simulate incadescant lights and illuminate the sides of lamp shades along with a strong ceiling beam.No I didn't get them at green angel. they could possibly from the same grower though.
Thanks for the suggestion man. I have a decent system going right now. maybe you couldn't see from the pic but there are power strips in there with many plug-socket adapters just like the ones you are talking about. (they are not vertical alone the sides they are straight overhead)
I also love using those claps because of the motility I get out of them. I move them around all the time. they clap to anything. they are great. you should try them out.
one question for ya.
cfls work better flat? because it spreads out the lumens better? what do you mean by flat? You mean pointing straight down or to the side?
why would that matter. I have never heard of this?
I am getting excited now.
Any tips on how to know when the perfect time for harvest is?
JTR needs a 8-9 week flowering period.
Are there signs that I can look for to maximize my harvest.
Also I have heard put them through 24 hours of darkness before I harvest.
If some one could run through the method with me it would help a lot. other wise I will just keep searching around.
Have you thought about adding a UVB light? I hear it adds more trichs to the bud. Many attest to it. PetSmart sells a 10 UVB cfl bulb for $19. I'm gonna add UVB to my grow in the next couple of weeks. I think it looks like a good time for you to hit your girls with some of that UVB.I am getting excited for the harvest so I took a bunch of images of the buds.
enjoy my friends.
One more week for these ladies.
I am going to start flushing out the nutes now
also. can any one tell me if this plant is mare or female. maybe its to soon to tell, I am not sure.
Yeah Man! I am hopping for an ounce but I have my doubts. This is my first grow so I have no idea how much I will yield. The plants are about 16 and 17 inches tall. I had to grow them short because of the size of my box.The pics you uploaded look great. How tall is that plant? It looks like it will be at least an ounce.
what is the mix ratethose buds look very airy and light needs a couple more weeks at least id say, buy some mollasses can get it from most supermarkets shops. Mix some of this to the water and feed to the plants might tighten up ur buds and put some more weight on.

thanks man. That is extremely helpful.here is a image. and yes I know people its not from here, but until i see one from here that is of good quality Helpful info is helpful info!
Thanks a lot bro.I have some knowledge and experience in lighting for movies and TV, so I'm applying the science of what I know to the function of the bulb. And I noticed a difference, so it worth keepiuung in teh back of your head. CFL's are generally new to the market, replacing the old style Edison filament bulbs. If you look at the cfl light carefully and how the light hits objects, you can see weak points. My eye is trained to see slight changes in light intensity, but a good way to see these hot and cool spots is to look at the lighted area and blink your eyes really fast. Believe it or not, you'll improve the visibility of differentiations in the light intensity coming from the cfl. Also try pointing the tip of your cfl at an object, and you will notice a spot-like beam isolated to the center. If you turn that cfl, that intense spot will disappear and the object will be covered with less-intense lumens and a softer, more even spread. The weakest spot on the cfl is at 3/4 angles or about 45 degrees from the tip. By flattening out the cfl's, you are taking advantage of the bulb design, and spreading the most amount of lumens per square foot of space (simulating a flat flouro design).
The plants will grow either way, and the best way is always your way. I had the same set-up as yours and changed to a more efficient set-up. For me, it's less work and that is always better.
Teaspoon per two litres of water you can also buy some shooting powder which u can buy at most diy stores in the gardening section. The shooting powder will come with dosage instructions. The shooting powder does the same as the mollasses and will increase the tightness and put weight on the buds.what is the mix rate
