Tent Problem

I need some advice and any tips anyone has to offer about contructing and or modifying a grow tent. My issue is that i have a grow tent that is 77" by 77" by 77" and the only area it can go in is my basement, and there is only one spot that causes it not to fit correctly. The area is tall enough and wide enough but there is a section of ventilation hanging that cannot be moved that interferes with the depth ( basically its too deep and will hit the ventilation ). I have flirted with the idea of possibly cutting the top and bottom frame poles to reduce the depth but im worried about the slack in the tent. If anyone has any suggestions or have done any necessary modifications to their own tents I would greatly appreciate any input. Im totally lost and this is the only thing keeping me from a great op.

maybe modify the support where the ventilation is so that the vent will be hanging in your grow room? or maybe incorperate the vent into your grow room ventilation. What kind of vent is it? could you use it to vent your light reflector?

Its main ventilation from the furnace to the interior house, so its big and definatly not movable. also i have a tent the only thing i can think of is cutting some o the frame to get around it.

Or, buy a different tent. There's always that. You're going to have slack in your tent and it's going to dreap kinda funny. Unless you know someone who can cut that tent and stitch it back up for you. I know my girl would do it for me.

Thanks I'll probably go that route as i have everything else i need and dont have the extra dough to buy another tent.

Take a pic of the Vent or duct in your way.

Maybe you can just cut the tent around the spot where the obsticle is. and tape the shit out of it.
Iv cut my tent to add an extra hole for ducting, make sure you use A LOT of that metal silver foil tape. NOT duct tape, it wont hold as long.

Why did you buy something that you weren't 100% sure it would fit? Seems kind of stupid to just wing it like that. Measure twice, cut once. Ever heard that saying? You prob should have measured out the space before purchasing a tent that is too big for it. I would probably just return that tent and get a different size

This was tent that i already had and i recently moved, so i didnt just go and buy a tent blindly. I wouldnt spend a couple hundred on something just so that i can tear it all up or modify it. That is STUPID, im just trying to get some positive ideas from peolple who might have some. Im not able to take any pictures at the moment because my camera is broken, so i know its hard for anyone to really get a good idea, but im just looking to add to my own.

Depending on the thickness and rigidity of the tent you might be able to do some stapling to get it to work. I would put duct tape on both side of the tent where you want to staple to help keep it from ripping, but it might work! Just fold and staple where you need to.

Of course this is after you cut the poles, becasue I think that's just going to have to happen.
