pot size for a stealth cabinet scrog.

My stealth cabinet is only 28" tall, so I cant really throw in a 11" tall pot.

my grow area is 20"x14", so could I use a square rubber maid container that is 17"x10" with a height of 6" instead of using a 3 gallon pot that is 11" tall?

That about 4.5 gallons. That should be fine. What i would do is plant it on one side of the tub and lst it to the other side. That way you can have a bigger plant with out losing much space hight wise.

What about my roots? If the plant is one one side, will my roots have trouble growing because one side of the plant has very little room.

im not completely sure but i think if you put it a few inches from side the roots will be fine. i've seen post on here of people growing in beer cups. with 4.5 gallons youll have plenty of room for you roots to go. just keep the whole tub watered good and the roots will search for water and nutes. this is "my opinion" and im still pretty new to growing my own, but that's what i would do in your situation.

Yea I agree.
I saw someone harvest an ounce from a plant that was in soil in an 8oz beer cup it was very encouraging.
The roots will grow sideways I believe.
