I had my water tested and it came out at 5.8 that is after i added a 1/2 gallon at 6.5, thats with no ph down. so my tester ant far off, i'm still ordering a digital friday. when i was there he asked me if i was using floragro, I told him i was'nt. He said that the nutes are meant to be ran together like it says on the back of the bottle. He couldnt belive i made it this far with no issues. should i run it like it says???

Normally i would say if it aint broke dont fix it. But the Floragrow has macro AND micro nutrients. So yeah you better do like it says. I was going to ask what you use to get your micros? Iron, zinc, copper, calcium, manganese etc....

here are some pics i took last night. I have a new scope to look at the trycomes, i dont care for it. its hard to stay totaly still and foucus in.
Lookin good. About the scope.....you cant look at the trichs while they are still on the plant. Your right... its almost impossible. You just need to take a scissors and cut off a tiny piece of leaf with trichs on it. Put the little piece on the table and look at it that way. take your pieces from differnt locations. I save all my pieces too. I'll have a bowl of them to smoke by the time i actually cut her down. I have a little pile started already. Waste not want not...lol
I remember it took a few days of looking at different samples before I really knew exactly what I was looking for. but after a few days, you start to see the difference between the clear the cloudy and the amber trichs.
Did you get the radio shack scope?
You are going to have all clear trichomes still at this stage. Once half or more of your hairs start turning you'll start to see cloudy and eventually amber trichs. But you've got a few more weeks before that happens.:peace:

I tried to take a picture of trichomes lol My girl is better with the camara. She put the camara up to her telescope and got a picture of the moons of jupiter with it!!
And theres my little pile of leaf pieces I've been looking at. Just a tiny piece is all you need.

i should have asked you about it before i bout a scope. I didnt know that u cut small pieces off. I have a microscope I could have been using, . i didnt have to buy one.
I had to put a divider in between my plants to prop up the buds. it ant very tall just high enough to keep them from fallen in to each other. Here is pics of my scopes, the small one is the new one.

well, last night i bout a stanley blower 3 speed and picked up a MH 400watt. how to hook the blower up , well i am open for some suggestions. It says not to restrict the air flow of the fan. it was recommended on this site so i hope i dont burn it up.

type " stanley blower mod " into a google search and there are a bunch of doityourself methods. Looks fairly easy to hook it up to some standard ducting.

i already have a six inch flang for the side. should i have it blowing out? I have six inch duct coming from my ac and a four inch with a 160 clf blower. will this be enough air coming in for this blower?

i would think yes, and yes. I dont think you're going to have a big enough pressure differential to cause any problems if thats what your worried about. Basically you want more CFM's on your exhaust than on your intake anyway. That way you dont have "smelly" air being pushed out through unknown spaces. You'd rather have clean air being sucked IN through these unknown gaps.bongsmilie:peace:

This is how i explained to someone else how to figure out how much fresh air you need in your grow room.
You need complete new air exchange in your grow room every 5 minutes. So take the size of your room (in cubic feet) and divide by 5.
For example....
If your room is 10X10X10. thats 1000 cubic feet of space. You want a new volume of fresh air every 5 minutes. Divide 1000cubic feet by 5 minutes. Thats 200 cubic feet of air per minute you need to move. You would need a fan rated AT LEAST 200CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute). This is the BARE MINIMUM of what you need. (in a 10x10x10 room)
Keep in mind that ducting and filters will significantly reduce the CFM rating of any fan. Also when your dealing with issues such as heat, or mold, you are going to want more fresh air and therefore more CFMs.
