If you do this^^^^^ you will never have any transplant problems that is for sure. I have never ripped any roots or stems using this techniqueLightly squeeze the sides of the small pot to release the roots a little bit. Put the main stem in between your index and middle finger holding the top of the soil with your hand. With the other hand lightly tap the bottom of the pot until the plant and root ball pop out. Place into a bigger pot and fill soil around the roots and stem to hold it in place. It is really easy you have nothing to worry about
