If you read the articles...she is simply not running for re-election. She will fulfill her term.

Like I said, she is after bigger game... good for her

"She said outside her home in Wasilla that "to embrace the conventional 'lame-duck' status in this particular climate would just be another dose of 'politics as usual,' something I campaigned against and will always oppose. ... I'm not going to put Alaskans through that.""

No, just bashing a good woman. A debate includes facts, not just feelings.
Fact. Palin is resigning her elected position, her only elected position outside of PTA and City Council, 3.5 years before done after a congressional hearing into misconduct rising to the level of abuse of power. And now you think she has bigger plans on the horizon?

Are you serious?

Address the FACTS before accusing others of avoiding them.

Your conjecture does not make sense. She would be done with her term in 2010. The next election is in 2012. Who is willing to wear whatever signature I design to bet against the fact that the shit is about to hit the media betraying her "real" reason.

It is an arbitrary bet. You have to agree to losing it first. You will have to either have integrity, or betray its absence.

I will also wear my own badge of shame if you are correct.

From the "horses" mouth. Just an excerpt...

"And there is such a need to BUILD up and FIGHT for our state and our country. I choose to FIGHT for it! And I'll work hard for others who still believe in free enterprise and smaller government; strong national security for our country and support for our troops; energy independence; and for those who will protect freedom and equality and LIFE... I'll work for and campaign for those PROUD to be American, and those who are INSPIRED by our ideals and won't deride them.

I WILL support others who seek to serve, in or out of office, for the RIGHT reasons, and I don't care what party they're in or no party at all. Inside Alaska – or Outside Alaska.

But I won’t do it from the Governor’s desk."

Don't forget the mayor of Wasilla, twice. You should really try and read more. YouTube only conveys so much....

Your wrong, her term ends 2010. She is a quitter. She has reportedly decided to leave public life altogether.

Okay, the first two articles I read (BBC) never mentions that she is stepping down.

That means 2012...... here she comes!!

So, just say she became president and the mean old press was picking on her and she decides to quit. I say there is more to it, like maybe Toad got caught screwing a polar bear.

And so as I thought about this announcement that I wouldn’t run for re-election and what it means for Alaska, I thought about how much fun some governors have as lame ducks… travel around the state, to the Lower 48 (maybe), overseas on international trade – as so many politicians do. And then I thought – that’s what’s wrong – many just accept that lame duck status, hit the road, draw the paycheck, and “milk it”. I’m not putting Alaska through that –
So her only executive experience was putting Alaska through that, and now she chooses to resign as a lame duck, only guilty of eating govt pork, and absolving herself by saying "I don't eat pork." all is right with the Lord.

Yes. She has a lot of reading to do. Good thing she is failing her constituents now, rather than having only 2 years to actively campaign.

anyone...

I'm glad to see you didn't preface this statement with, "FACT".

Sweet. Then put your money where your mouth is.

Take the challenge... or betray your "faith".

Millions of dollars are moving. I do not have time to bicker semantics. Man up... accept my challenge or admit your lack of faith.
