ok .. yea my ph from the tap is 7.4 & the pots are shy of being 1 gallon. I thought when flushing you should really put a lot of water through to get out all of the buildup that might be in there? Also after being flushed will i need to give it nutrients again or should i just wait until it needs to be watered again?Test the ph from your tap. I think people use distilled for the ph. The ph out of my tap is around 6.7 so I've used it on most of my flushes. If the ph from the tap is high pour some into buckets and let it sit overnight (at least 8 yrs) and most of the time ph can be significantly lowered by way of purification chemicals evaporating. Also how big are your pots? unless there really big a few gallons might be to much. you just want to fill it until there is a trickle coming from the bottom.
the whole point of flushing is to relieve excess nutrients and avoid salt build up.....just trickling out is not flushing.....need 3X's the pot size for a real flushTest the ph from your tap. lmao! just put a screen in the bottomi flushed my plants 10 days ago and it worked like a charm, my plants were showing very bad symptoms of nute burn, now i can say 10 days later there just fine. so if you need a good flush go for it just try not to get your shower cloged up, that hapenned to me also.
i failed to mention that they are a week into flowering. After flushing should i feed them? or wait until its time to feed again?put the tap water in a few gallons, adjust the ph, then flush em. everyone missed tha fact of how high ur ph was, keep it between 6.4 and 6.8 for the best, and check the ph as it comes out too just for the knowledge. that way you know how the water affects the ph of the soil u use.
