? about HPS light Bulb

ok i just went and got a 150w HPS light from menards and was wanting to hook it up in like a rubber made tote thing. Now heres my question do i need some special sort of lamp or something to get th bulb to work cause when i tried to just plug it into a lamp it doesnt turn on. I wopuld appreciate any help and thank you in advance.

yea u need to get a Mogul base S55 Shape.. u gonna need a ballast that works with your 150 watt HID light

shoot.. u can get a Cool complete 150 watt HPS system for under 100$ (Ballast, reflector & all)

ya you need a different plug, u could find one at any electrical store or a hydro store. i realized it was different the moment i got it, but lucky i was still at the store so i went back for it lol
