what is the earliest point you can clone a plant / specifics to look for?
the key to cloneing is shuting down the nitregon, thats why a week in flower is the best time to clone, myself i like cloneing 5 or 6 weeks in.... how ever i do take clones b4 flowerbuti stopfeeding them nutes for a week be4 cuting if they are still in veg cycle.+1 on waiting till its older. seems like a few ppl on the boards have trouble cloning from young mothers, myself included.

no you want a mature limb. if your plant is sick it most likely won't root and if it does chances are it won't take.... the healther the plant to clone from the better...can't i just take a cutting from one of the lower limbs, drop it in some rooting hormone and then it'll start to grow roots in "x" medium? The plant was once sick cause its my first hydro system and its the last i have left, so its about 8" tall and 4 - 5 canopies tall. do i have to wait till it branches out before doing it or can a single fan leaf with the stem connected to the main stem work?
