i got me 2 white dwarf autoflowers. they are about 10 days from chop, i think anyways i am colorlind and tric viewing is well tuff to say the least. they turned 54 days old 2day. of what lil info i could find on here about this strain harvest is @round 65 days.
question is when to flush?
would i flush now or wait?
after i flush how often should i water?
getting close dont wanna fuck it up.
took some pics but for the life of me i couldnt get great shot showing buds and hairs. 90% of hairs still white and none have receeded for w/e thats worth.

you might be able to navigate trics even though color blind - clear > cloudy > amber might be an increase in darkening to you?
but if you've got 90% white pistil hairs left, you've still got a little ways to go - i'm right about at the same spot with pistil hair colro - probably a week or so for me - BUT you do have to check often - depends on strain but ripening could accelerate

I thought that the hairs didn't really mean anything from all the research I have been doing... They die and are replaced by other white hairs. That's it, right? I've read so many posts form experienced growers that say that you harvest when you look at the trichs and they have turned "milky" or "amber", reguardless if the hairs are white/red/orange/brown. The reason they (the hairs) turn colors is because they are dying, although the plant keeps growing new hairs to replace the dying ones. It's like an illusion, placed by God, just to fuck up your harvest. Even when you chop the plant down when the hairs are white (as long as the trichs are milky or amber), the hairs are still going to turn red/orange/brown because, well, they are dying.

Remember, this is what most of the "experienced" growers have said and I am just re-posting in my own words. It's more of a question, than a statement. :peace:

Edit... I think strains have a lot to do with this subject too...

yeah, there is a large measure of strain on this issue
you will normally see less pistils as the maturity increases - or they will appear to be less - darkening of the bud may be a part of that
but that white, fluffy look usually means maturity is still in progress

ok good stuff guys but posted here for flushing query.
when?
how often?
if i flush now doing the 3 times the pots volume for the flush. how often do i water on the back end of it?
looked at the trics again and i think i aam seeing very few clear, very few amber but i cant say 4 sure. leaves are still good and green so i am 100% i wont chop for another 10 dayss at least.
so, any1 got flushing suggestions?
going to use mollasses.

on flush, many strategies - i can tell you my method - just stop feeding by 2 weeks prior to harvest - plain water for last 2 weeks
i think i've seen some growers do flushing with molasses - if you do, less would probably be better - 1 tsp per gallon maybe

The one thing I struggle with using molasses is that I don't have a good meter & just use the PH drops. I can PH the water before adding the molasses, but I'm not sure the affect it has on PH. I used it on my last grow & thought it was causing me potential problems, any one have any idea how it affects PH?

i do the same thing, ph drops - and that was a bit of a problem
in the end, i just hoped it wouldn't throw my ph out of whack - it didn't - the outflow ph stayed OK

I didn't think about still getting a good read off the runoff...good idea. Did you notice any yellowing or anything as a result?

yeah, there was a little - mostly the dirt seemed to suck it up
i was using 1 tsp of molasses to 1 gallon water so the water wasn't that dark

does everyone just add mollassas on top of there regularly scheduled nutes or do you scale back on the nutes a little or even all when you give mollasses?
