If you recall in the original post dude was saying that a 1000 watt cfl should run a lot cooler than a 1000 watt hps and it does. Just a fact and I repeat there is no such thing as too much light! If there was then every outdoor plant getting an abundance of light would perish. Why do you think the average outdoor plant can grow to be two or three times the size of indoor plants? I am indeed far from an expert, but I do possess common sense andI certainly know that a 1000 watt hps puts out quite a bit more heat than a 1000 watt fluorescent. If not then why do all hps users use cool tubes an intake and outak fans? I use cfls only and I don't have to use any of that extra shit. Go figure smart guy.You can have too much light. It's called wasting energy, and I assure you it's quite possible.
Have you grown with 1000 watts of HPS and CFL before Cap K? I really doubt you have.
I've heard of people replacing 300 watts of CFls, with a 250 watt HPS system, and their grow room dropped by 5 degrees.
Just because one CFL bulb is cooler than HPS, doesn't mean they dont add up. If you use like 12 + CFL bulbs, it's going to start getting pretty hot.
