I am about to start a batch of 50 bagseed. Will a 400W HPS, a UFO, and 6 45 W CFLS that put out 2600 lumens each be good to veg and flower them all with?
Is this sufficient lighting?

A 400 watt Hid is good for about 9 sq ft. Thats 3'x3'. You could cover more but not that efficiently. Your UFO and CFL's would be good for sidelighting so that may give you another 6 inches or so more in each direction. So you may want to consider the area you can effectively cover decide on your plant count from there. Sometimes less is more.

Oh ya, I get 6 under a 600hps. My flowering room is 4'x6' but I only use 4'x5' at the most. 100 watts a plant. But I veg much longer than most and grow them a bit bigger. I take the slow, lazy, easy way too grow.

Will this be ok durring the vegging stage then I could get 2 1000 watt hps's for the flowering. Would that work?

What size space do you have to work with? You could veg 50 with the lights you have for probaly up to 30 days, maybe less. That kinda depends on the genetics. 2-1000 watters, now you talking cooling, venting a whole new ballgame.

I got a 15 by 15 room to work with with 2 windows in the middle of the woods. what should my gameplan be. I want to produce big quantity

I belive that u should be able to get at least 15 healthy plants under a 400w hps...Not saying it is the way to go but to maximize ur wattage and make ur money back u should be able to fit 15 under there untill a few harvest and just buy another light...Personnly i would put around 5-10 plants under there...And currently have 4 under one 400w hps..

well if u cut that in half to have veg and flower room ur left wit 7.5 by 7.5 .... u might want to look into aoutoflowering or lowryders because they will use little room and u can cram as many as possible in the room....That 400w should do the job for ur space...
