Help!!!!!!!!!!

My buddy brought over a plant that basically just sprouted. (bout 2inches) the problem is he put the plant in pretty much dirt from the ground and the container is not that deep either. the reason he brought it to me is i just ordered a hydroponic set and im gonna start growing. i will be getting the set in about a week.

my first question is... can i take the plant out of soil and put it into rockwool? or should i replace it with good soil? i will have my hydro system in a week so i would like to go ahead and put it into rockwool because of the hydro system.

can you even transplant a plant from dirt to hydro?

ya you can transplant to rock wool. be very gentile and try not to rip ANY roots. if its your first grow id suggest soil instead of hydro untill your sure you know what your doing

Yea i was gonna start with soil but honestly soil seems harder to me? I have always been ass backwards! Easy is hard and hard is easy to me? Now do i flush the dirt away or knock some off?

you could gently spray the roots with water, with that spray nozel on the sink but make sure the water is a good neutral temp and very low pressure. or it be more gentile you could dip it in a cup of water.

fill your rockwool container more than half way put the roots and plant in and fill the container to the top of the plant with the rockwoll

No problem. I do it all the time because I start seeds in pellets, then switch to Hempy cups when I see roots. Just soak the whole pot, plant and all until the soil washes away.
