In pot or in the ground?

Hi, my plant is in a big pot, and last night my friend told me if i let it grow in that pot it won't get big, that i should plant it in the ground..so my question is according to you, which is better; in a pot ( The pot is very big ) or directly in the ground ??

it doesnt matter really u can grow monsters in regular pots but if u put it in the ground should be treated and preped for the plant first

Thank's for your quick answer, i think i'll leave it in a pot since the earth here isn't very good

Not to mention pots are a little more forgiving on over watering. So pots are benificial. Theres a couple of outdoor grows big monster plants sitting in big 7 gallon pots. Check out some journals and tell your friend he is wrong and you have proof.

i was in a pot but then the plant became rootbound and drooped very badly. I decided to plant in her the ground and she is doing very well. I think they get more of what they need in the ground.
