i cant read the nameplate but i think they are an MH light.
i personnally wouldnt pay more than 30 or 40 bucks but i have a bunch of them already that i paid about 30 a piece for.

i have seen those go on ebay anywhere from 20 to 100 bucks each. they are def. worth more if they are an HPS.

check out the link in my sig. it will explain the wireing and making it remote.

Hey all, I was just perusing craigslist and came across this 'High bay Industrial lights' I have no idea what a good asking price would be for something like this.

You guys have any suggestions?

Thanks,

those are mh bro and id only give about 40 bucks for the whole thing and then you have to rewire it and bring it down to 120v because they are normally at 240 or 277
and if you need bulbs for it just in case hit me up and i can get you a good connection close by your way man .

see me i paid 50 bucks for a mh ballast and socket but it runs hps and mh and its 400w`r so i got a plug and it was on ebay. its a web site called "cheap good lights" look that up

don't bother

the attached ballasts will only give you grief imho - they are heavy and need properly securing!
yeah theirs a way to convert those if you would read previous posts

And you should properly secure everything in your grow op. Just because it takes some effort does not mean it is not worth it. Some people excel in these areas as others do not. If you have tried to do this before and followed some instruction you will find it is quite easy.

that fixture the thread starter posted has a threaded 3/4" hole.
you get a nice big lag hook and secure it to a ceiling stud outside the grow op. make the ballast remote and for this fixture use a piece of 3/4" galvanised pipe. or get a hook like this. and hang it.

then run your wire into the op to the reflector.

if you get any of these and need a hand let me know. in my how to thread that is basically for one of the harder lights to work with. most of these lights are very easy to make remote.
this is a MH light and just unscrew 2 screws and the socket and wires come right out.

In the add it says this:

"• High power factor ballast with class H insulation. Minimum starting temperature is -40°C (-40° F) for HPS and -30°C (-20° F) for MH, MP and ML. U.L. listed and CSA certified"

To me that implies that it would work for HPS or MH.

it is a magnetic ballast. it is only an MH or HPS fixture not both.

Those cooper lumark lights are labeled kind of funny to where it might make you think it can take both and maybe even multiple bulb sizes but no it's just the top case part that's used in multiple sizes and types and labeled as such.

The model number starts with H or M in it and then the wattage as in m1000-mt means Metal halide 1000w multi tap.
