1st time grower wants some advice!

Sorry guys if this a completely noobish question.

I have never ever grew before but would like to start because i am struggling to pull in enough money to keep up with the amount i smoke.

So to start i am thinking of buying 5 feminized seeds and growing them 2 at a time so if i make mistakes i got others to try again with.

Now i have no real good place to start but am thinking of adding a normal halogen light into my loft.

I dont want to get an excellent lighting/ growing system or whatever because of the cost and i dont really think i would use it as much as id like.

All i want to know is what you people think i should do differently judging on what ive written here??

As ive said theres gonna be no technical stuff, just decent soil some tap water and a halogen light, will i be able to get a decent enough yield??

halogen is a no go. well i wouldn't use it anyway. they do not have the proper spectrum of light and they are hot as hell.

you can try the feminized seeds but personally i think its easier to just buy regular seeds and pull out the males

i know you said cost is an obstruction here but is $50 for an LED light to far out of the real of reality? best of luck to you!! hope this helps

The biggest thing, dont buy cheap soil like miracle gro. Soil is the one thing you should splurge a little on. Go with FoxFarm, Ive never seen that brand not deliver excellent results.

Thank's for the info on the lights, and atm the 50 is a problem hopefully it wont be soon, I understand that getting good results will take time so im not going to rush, i havent even got the electrics wired to my loft yet!! Hopefully will have everything ready to begin within the month just dont want to waste money!!

1st time growers should read a book about growing weed first before attempting to germinate the seeds. I suggest Greg Green - The cannabis grow bible. You can download it just google.

And FOX FARM is the way to go for soil and nutrients...i've had real good luck with it!

(cheap) hang 4 42w cfls 2 per plant if u do use mg soil look for type that dosnt say feeds up nto 3 months get nutes cheap ph test kit $5, fan, cheap themometer let it grow do lots of research it all begans as just for smoke then becomes addictive jus watchn em gro and of course free smoke u'll probably upgrade nex gro also 3 gal pots at least
