Outdoors, bugs?

I just planted my girls outdoors, they've sprouted but not yet broke ground. I'd like to do EVERYTHING possible to prevent bugs from getting on or to my girls. Since it's the earliest in the grow to add something what do you prefer? What can I add now or in a week/2 weeks? I'm in the deep south of the U.S. and I've heard of some nasty bugs down here.

Spidermites and animals are your worse enemies. Check out the plants around where you are cultivating your plants to see if they have any noticable bugs. To keep the animals away pee around your plants about 2-3' from them in a circle. Every time you go out to water be sure to drink like 1/2 gallon of water an hour before heading out so you can piss all around them. Also if you have access to animal/human hair sprinkle that all around them. For bugs it really all depends on the types of bugs as to what you need to do. Someone else might have an all in one solution for bugs, but from what i've seen the biggest problem outdoor grows has is deer+humans. I've lost several outdoor grows to deer...bastards love weed. Be safe!

For deer I'm putting chickin wire up around my plants, that'll keep hem away. there are a ton of dragonflys in the area, is that bad?

Drayonflies eat other insects not plants. Sometimes they even eat each other. So dragonflies are wonderful

When I go down there, there are well over 100 dragonflys buzzing around they smack me all the time. There are a ton of grasshoppers though...I believe they're grasshoppers, it's in shin high grass and things are always hopping and making ticking sounds, I've read grasshoppers are bad?

I live in Florida and I grow outdoors in deer territory. I use chicken wire too around each plant individually. And I caught a deer in the middle of the day that absolutely tore apart the chicken wire. So you might want to try something stronger just as a suggestion.

The plant wasn't big enough for the deer to actually want to eat it, plus I caught the thing while he was doing it. And scared him off.

Hey thanks man for the heads up, but on the other side of the fence (about 10 feet from where I'm growing) is a ranch and the place I'm growing is highly populated with greens which is rare for where I'm at and there are over 30-40 goats that roam on the other side of the fence, deers hate goats.
