First clones, how do YOU think they are doing?

heh, i just checked them after that pic and saw one of them has roots comming out the bottom so at least 1 of them is doing well.

I hate "out of season" crap. i cannot find any good potting soil or perlite in my area. i got some reg potting soil with low amonts of perlite and vermiculite in it, except it was outside so now i get to wait until the soil is un-half-frozen and cold as hell. the higher watt cfl's seem to be dissapearing off the shelf. i wonder why. oh well, i guess this soil will have to do, i need to transplant like now.

congrats russ.. it is not easy cloning using soil!! well done!!
cheers

thanks, and is that so?
dont greant me success yet, lets see if they survive the transplant, so far ive been REAL good about overwatering and such, but im scared with this new soil - i had to use it and i don't have any perlite to add and it seems a little heavy (though it was half frozen and very cold and packed down) dont worry, i thawed it out and crunched it up!

heres a new pic of my ghetto veg room, its full now
check out the grow bags, they're awesome
lots more cfls will be hanging in this box soon, those are 42 watters

what did you put on the cutting to get them to take to dirt so nicely? ive cut the bottom off of clear soda bottles and used them as "tent" over the pnat like a mini green house it worked real well.

Yeah, I made a tent out of a turkey roasting pan recently. I just cut the bottom off of it and cut a few ventilation holes in the clear plastic top. Then I misted all the time with ph-balanced dechlorinated water any time I didn't see moisture condensed on the tent.

i thought dirt was just as good as anything, honestly, i used shultz takeroot powder, and properly cut the clones underwater and planted them, and kept them moist! no domes at all yes GK you can have that one too, i will email it

edit:
p.s. right after transplant my plants grew for their first time, is it possible they actually didnt get shocked when i transplanted?

Thanks for the PIC russ!!!!
