OK, first off I understand the plant restriction issue - it's the same here in MI. But here care givers are also only allowed to possess 2.5oz of finished product for each patient. At any rate, growing monster plants is not an efficient way to grow (see the sea of green method). Main reason is that light diminishes by the square of the distance from the light. So if you grow tall plants the light received by the lower parts is much less than the taller parts. There are other canopy issues with this as well.
Also, 8,000 watts is going to get you noticed by your electric usage. IDK about where you live but in MI our grow card does not necessarily mean we can't be prosecuted. The law here considers it an affirmative defense. This is a legal term which means they can still prosecute and you have the burden of proving that you are not guilty for this reason. Self defense is a similar affirmative defense. So even though you might legally be on solid ground you still want to fly under the radar. Plus, remember that the feds don't give a shit about the state laws on this issue so the DEA can still prosecute.
Anyway, for a setup that small you don't need anywhere near that amount of light - read up on it a bit.
