1 month smell???

I tryed asking people in the live chat but everyone there is retarded ta boot so I guess I gota start a thread........I have 2 plants right now and there are really starting to smell, there are only 1 month old and 9" tall

I though they only start to smell when you goto 12/12? Ive grown before and Ive never notice a smell in veg

there is no way they are producing a smell that is in any way related to pot if they are still in veg. More than likely your just smelling soil and chlorophyll with a mix of your own paranoia. This smell is no different than if you go outside after a summer rain, or if you keep potted house plants around.

That's not right. They do have an odor even at an early veg state. It's nothing compared to a flowering plant, but they do give off a unique smell. When in flower, they REALLY start to smell and if you're worried about smell giving you away, you'll have to incoorperate some type of odor control.

I noticed this as well with my LR2s before they showed sex

yeh my plants were smelly starting around then, but not a lot. As said before they really start to smell at 12/12...

However, you can almost always get a real nice skunky smell by rubbing the stem a little bit with your fingers.

I'm going to agree with you on this issue. When starting this last bagseed grow, I could tell which ones were going to be skunky two weeks from seed. They literally reeked skunk. At that point, the other ones didn't smell like much of anything...maybe a slight peppery/pine scent.

some strains stank, sum dont.. in veg and 12/12... sure they still smell in 12/12, but sum r pretty tame...
