Wondering why its done, does it make them bushier? just curious, new to growing

Keep em low and wider, head space is usually the main issue. and to create more bud sites, increasing yield in theory. I've also read however certain strains can only produce so much no matter how they're grown.Wondering why its done, does it make them bushier? just curious, new to growing

mobone pretty much fed you what you needed to hear, though if you look up "LST" or low stress training you'll probably be able to find tons of things to read about it

I think SCRoG is an interesting approach and I think it would make more use of the light by utilizing the entire sq foot of the grow space. Would like to try it next I think.
